Ride along as Iowatrailrider, Beth Boyle, travels the US with her friends and horses to trail ride from some of the very best horse camps. Beth offers information about the camps, the trails and the attractions in the areas she visits. Tetons, Black Hills, Superstition Mountains (AZ), Iron Mountain (VA), Caney Mountain (AR), Great Smoky Mountain National Park (TN) and more fabulous rides! The leather chinks, bottle bags, saddle bags, cantle bags and more are made by Beth in her small business, Great Oak Leather LLC.
This looks great. Unfortunately there is no such thing here in Germany. People go horseback riding here, but there are no such campsites for riders here. And my deepest condolences on the death of your mother-in-law.
@@ND-Tam I have a Garmin Inreach Explorer that Bluetooths to Garmin's Earthmate app on my iPhone. I use it because it has an SOS service than can send search and rescue to me anywhere in the world and it does satellite texting.
@@amandamorgan5342 what is it about that rock? We will be back soon and I'll take Kasper. It will be interesting to see if the rock wants to eat Kasper too.
Thanks Beth for sharing this great place that I was not familiar with and it is so close to home! It was great to see you at River Valley last weekend. Happy trails!!
I don't know why i haven't ridden Zumbro Bottoms yet (live less than 2 hours away). Thanks for the tour...had to laugh, I have one horse here that loves to snack his way along the trail as well.
@@farmgirlrebel1333 I wanted to ride Zumbro for over 10 years and didn't do it. I don't know why I didn't go sooner but I'm happy I went. Now I have a new favorite. I made a detailed video of the west horse camp. You might like it too. Find it in my Zumbro Bottoms play list. I'll be back there in a couple weeks!

Hi Beth I love watching your videos of all your different trail rides it is so much fun to go with you could you please add the state when you're talking about the camping areas you do a beautiful job of showing the sites and everything around it but I never know what state you're in and I'm not familiar at all with these places to trail ride thank you Beth and thank you again for sharing your beautiful videos be careful have fun
Was he not worked with a lot by his previous owner? Your friend, sorry to hear about the loss of her. That had to be hard but it just kind of. Seems like you have to restart him, which is perfectly fine. You're doing an excellent job. You know what you're doing and it's working. Good job! Love watching the videos
@@marybabler788 thank goodness he loads most of the time now. Just pulled Docs shoes off today and put shoes on Kasper my big white paint. Three trips coming in the next 5 weeks. Yahoooo!
I don't know if you're still having the problems with him cantering but maybe going on trail rides with other people and running galloping with them. He would kind of get the idea to do it. I think it's just like you said he's just being stubborn but that's something that you can work out and grow out of them. Just be careful. I love your videos. You're doing a great job
@@taniabanek350 Doc is willing to try almost anything but that bridge was scary for him. This is his second year being ridden and he does very well considering. Learn Doc’s unusual life story in my playlist named, Sonitalena Doc.
I've never seen a complete straight line across a horse with just two solid colors like that that that's crazy. Wow he's beautiful. So are your horses. They are so beautiful now. Do you have? Caspe,r doc, and Robin, are those your three that you have? They are so beautiful and so well behaved. At least as far as I can tell LOL

Hi, I am new to your channel. I was wondering if you would please be so kind to do me a favor when you're doing the videos. If you could just talk a little bit about your horse, what the name is and how old and if he's yours or somebody's your riding. I know some of the videos you do but but the ones you don't or if you could start to it would be wonderful. I would so much appreciate it. I really enjoy all your trail rides. I love it. I wished it was with you. Please stay safe. God bless. I'm going to keep on watching and thumbs up and I've already subscribed
@@marybabler788 I’ll try to remember to introduce my horses in every video. My good horses deserve the credit. They do all the work. Good idea! Thanks for watching!
@@marybabler788 I wanted to ride Zumbro for a long time and kept hearing good things about it. Can’t wait to go back in September. Thanks for watching, there will be a couple more Zumbro videos coming soon.
What happened to your horse? I think his name was Casper??you rode him a while back and also your sister's horse Leo??? I don't see them in your more recent videos???
@@marybabler788 Kasper is my big white paint horse. He’s was at home hanging out with his buddy Robin. Kasper is next up in the rotation. I’m keeping shoes on one horse at a time this summer and Kasper gets shoes on Tuesday. I’m excited to ride him. He’s such a good boy. Leo is doing well too, another good gelding that is a blessing!
@@Iowatrailrider wow! Sabino is such a beautiful shiny brilliant color. No wonder why I'm in love with Casper He seems like he's coming around really good. You're very good with your horses and I love watching your videos. Please keep them coming. I live in Minnesota and I've been to the forestville trails. Those are beautiful. I don't know if you've been but check them out. Beautiful camping area trails go up into the mountains. They can be a little risky but you'll seem to like that. Give it a check
What kind of horse was that? That was like golden brown on the bottom and I've never seen a horse like that. It was so pretty. If you could please let me know would that be considered a paint?
I am brand new to your channel and I just subscribed. I really love watching your videos on your trail rides. Arizona is very scary but looks like it could be fun. The movie was unbranded about the wild horses going from Canada to Mexico or Mexico to Canada. However, it is unbranded. Thanks for sharing these videos. Love them and I'll keep watching you. Be careful😂
Thank you for the videos you have posted, especially Arkansas and Missouri. I’m looking forward to many more. There’s a horse camp in western Arkansas you might like called Idlenook. I love how you show trailering in, the campground and the trails.
Thanks for this very nice video. We are proud of our camp and invite anyone to come join us. We have campground hosts every weekend throughout the summer to help you and answer questions. The camp is maintained by the DNR with a lot of help from ZB-BCH-MN. One caution there are two weekends that have an organized motorized ride each year, weekend before Memorial and weekend after Labor Day. Best to not come then. Trails can be easy riding and some can be tough riding, hard to get lost as all lead to the bridge and river. Thanks for your support and the very nice videos.
@@BCHMinnesota-g7y Thank you for the the info. Please consider sharing the video. E really enjoyed the trails and are hoping to be back at Zumbro mid-September. When do the trails close for the end of the season?
Trails close November 1 and open on May 1. We have a big ride the last full weekend of October to prepare us for the closure. Been known to have over 250 rigs at West Camp.
@@patriciandcowgirl6044 thanks for watching. A couple more Zumbro videos coming soon. Many more camp tour videos in my horse camp playlist, if you are interested.
The rock waterfall or the rock slide we call it. Is at the end of the silvermine trail and comes up to the bottom of buzzards roost. It runs right into the river to river trail. I will post a video of it soon on my channel. Zeke Pratt outdoors. I have a rice hollow video on there now. Thanks for the video 🤠
@@charlistrubinger2268 Hi, Charli! Thanks for watching. Ping me if you find a time you could show me around Siloam Springs. Maybe ride Cuivre River too....
Good video, this is in my area. I live in south central Missouri and enjoy all your videos. I have ridden here several times. There are several other nice places to ride in the area. One of my favorite is Lazy C trailhead south of Winona. You can take a spur trail down to the Ozark Trail, lots of riding there. There is a primitive camp at the trailhead with pipe corrals.
Pine creek horse campground in Bloomingville OH (Hocking Hills) has nice bathrooms. 😊 They have real glass shower doors (and curtains for privacy, modern wood look ceramic tile, live edge wood shelves and benches, etc and heat etc Donkey sorting!!??? 🤬🤬🤬🤬
@@Iowatrailriderthey just got sold so hopefully the standards will remain the same or higher. Check out some RU-vid videos of their facilities and especially their cabins that you can rent! The cabins are fully furnished and come with private stalls AND hot tubs❤. There is a huge indoor arena and outdoor pavilion where they used to have entertainment every other weekend. The downside is you have to ride the purple trail everytime you want to go out to the trails and it gets repetitive but you are minutes away from the Hocking Hills State Park where you can go hike and see Devils Soupbowl, Old Man’s Cave and read all about the history. Just the facility alone and walking trails there are worth it. I have stayed at PC three times. The stalls are smaller but are matted and my pretty long bodied equine fit fine. She was tired after riding the trails anyway. Thanks for your videos! We are heading to River Valley next week!❤
@@taniabanek350 Also the clips are burned into the hoof then hammered in. The clips take stress off the nails to keep the shoes on. Jeremy talks about the reasons at the very end of the video. Thanks for watching!
