Never too old to learn! I had a good giggle when you held the gun between your legs and accidentally pressed the trigger 😂. Like you say, practice is the thing. Weld scraps of different thicknesses every day, and you will pick it up in no time. Material prep is the first important thing that many okes skip. Grind off all the rust until you have clean, shiny metal. It will make a big difference. And remember the all important saying: A grinder and paint, makes us the welders we ain't. 😂
