I can't say I'm surprised this ride is closing. I visited Busch Gardens in July of 2024. Being a coaster enthusiast, I could tell just by looking at the ride that it was very old. The rickety sound and the design of the vertical loop told me it was pretty dated. But I still wanted to ride it. The wait time said 15 minutes. However, the line hardly ever moved. It was more like a 60 minute wait! There was only one train, so that wasn't very efficient for the through-put. The ride is also rather short, so I eventually made the decision to exit the line.
What is this? Old Vekoma? Areo? It looked really smooth for that class, and that it maybe been retracked at some point? The track style changed and the only original track left was the lift hill / first drop and the final brake run into the station.

Pride comes before a fall.’ In the pre-show they tell you that the gold is guarded by 'The Wailing Women'. This is a superstition from the mines in the Dutch province Limburg.
Went on this with my grandchildren last sep 2023 3 times,3 hours to get on the first time it was worth every minute. it was scary it was wild the best rollercoaster ever.going back asap👍👍
It's interesting to see that even though the original layout is the same as Shaman at Gardaland, once they both received their re-tracking, they're suddenly different! Shaman features a much more prominent airtime hill after the loops, which is at least the most obvious example for me
Compare this to shang hai disneyland's pirate of the carribean. I can't believe this is the same company. The use of screens especially is just awful on this ride!
Most anticlimactic drop in a flume ride, the whole story is just a bland fetch quest. I don't care about continuity, bring Doctor Facilier back, why remove the thrilling aspects to a thrill ride? This fails both as Splash Mountain successor and as a Princess and the frog ride.
So basically it’s a bunch of dead black space then when you finally see something it’s “man they can play” times 5 then your the special spice all along. What??
