his stuff in maiden is amazing! it's more then unfair to call him the reason for maidens problems during the 90's. it was bruce decision to leave the band, not the bands decision and blaze just had huge shoes to fill - and in my eyes he did his best. he didn't try to be "the new bruce", instead he just did his thing. and you either like that or not. he didn't ruin anything in maiden, it's just that people can't accept things that they don't like....but you just have to take it as it is and was!
Im the biggest Maiden fan and Bruce is the man, but the two albums that Blaze did with Maiden are far far more superior than the two piece of shit albums that Bruce did with Maiden when Smith left. There are excellent tunes on there but far too few and Smith took a huge part of the soul with him when he left. I like Yanick as a person and for sure hes a great guitatist, but he could never fill the gap or write like Smith and it showed. I like the 3 guitarist set up now.
