I watched numerous videos on how to export my songs from rekordbox (I download my songs from Beatport) to my usb. I follow every step and my songs still don't show up. When I export them in rekordbox, the playlist transfers to my usb and then a box pops up and says "One or more files were not exported. Check the log file saved in the "Documents folder". So I check that and all the songs in the export log all have the #2 next to them which says "the file is in the format that the cdc/xdj/mobile device doesn't support. Any clue how to fix this issue? I have a MacBook and I bought the Pioneer DJ XDJ-RX3.
Help! I'm running Mac OS Ventura 13.6.7 and RB 6.8.2 (downgraded from 6.8.5) and RB refuses to see all of my USBs! They show in the finder and can be opened and previously worked. I've rebooted/restarted, checked full disk access 1000 times and nothing works. I can take the USBs to another, older Mac with RB and they work fine. The problem Mac has 2 different USB hubs (1 powered, 1 not) and when inserted they show in finder but not in RB. I can stick a SD card in one of the hubs and RB sees it. I've run disk utility on all USBs and they're fine. They used to work but mysteriously they have all stopped working in RB. I checked the USBs and hubs in sys info and they all show they are AOK. They play fine on my CDJ2000s.
most likely GateKeeper (the part of macOS that provides access) is confused. Remove Rekordbox from Full Disk Access, reboot your mac, add it again to Full Disk Access. Might fix it otherwise not much you can do.
Thank you so much for the video!!! My problem was that the export would stop at 70%. (Mac OS Sonoma 14 and rekordbox 7). I figured out that there was a track that hadn't been analyzed correctly. It showed 0 bpm and it kept analyzing. Once I removed the track from the export, it worked!
Any tips on how to speed up analysis. I have performance enabled in the analysis settings to use all CPU, but my God…rekordbox is slow compared to any other solutions out there.

Hey MMG, do you still recommend CBR for converting music for MP3 for Rekordbox or has something changed? Technically speaking, VBR should have next no no audible difference in quality but with some space savings. I remember that you used to recommend against VBR for some reasons related to Rekordbox and i'd like to know if that's still the case.

Thanks for the video. Quick question: should usb sticks be empty (and formatted) ? So if you have other stuff documents photos other music etc on the memory sticks will that cause any issues? 😊
Hi There MMG unfortunately, yesterday couldnt make it to the live stream not easy at 1 am here, i do have 2 questions regarding your apps which by the way made it easy for me to try and play between different DJ softwares. 1 - after converting with DeCU (RB to Denon DJ) on some cue points shows " no RB grid data" what does it mean ? 2 - after converting with DjCU or DeCU the tree folder is quite extensive and makes me go thru so many "clics" till i get to the actual converted music folder if im using just a standalone you can imagine going back and forward to change the playlist, any suggestion to make it easier ? im afraid by changing the location of the folder next time i convert it will duplicate the list. (and yes i have both apps 🙂) thanks in advance!
First of all: I bought DJCT because it advertises to be able to convert between Traktor and DJ Pro. I only found out that this is not possible after using the software, bummer. Well, afterall I found this video and tried this workaround while being afraid that I will potentially kill my regularly used Music library. Especially disabling the safety features "manage & copy" from Music was the first thing where my alarm bells began to ring. This is something you should never disable, since your music will be all over the place and things can get out of hand or disk in this context quickly. However I tried without first, no success. Then I reluctantly disabled the Music checkboxes as recommended and tried again, still with no success. What I want: - Get my Traktor collection playlists including all cue- & loop-points and analyzed tracks - Just have them as they are in Algoriddim DJ Pro What I did: - Convert from Traktor to Rekordbox xml - Convert from Rekordbox to Serato & Music in one step As I open the generated Music Playlists in DJ Pro, I see no cue points. Other than that, if I get this to work, I definitely need to get rid of this generated Music mess afterwards and most importantly enable the manage settings again. I hope this is supported by the conversion and I only need this to import the tracks to DJ Pro again? I'm a Traktor User, I have no understanding on how DJ Pro's library works, this is why I bought this software. I really hope you can help, since I can't get this to function apparently..

Hello, 1 month ago my Sandisk Extreme usb was crashed before a gig. (Was warking just for 1 year) My collecion was destroyed. 2 days ago, I put my new usb to a cd player and it didn't work. No Usb I cannot understand what's going on with my rekordbox and my usb sticks crashing. Any thoughts?

Does this procedure work if the music is stored on the Apple Music Cloud for the iPhone? That is to say that I use the sharing function of my Apple Music library on the cloud. In this case, can I find my cue points and analyses?
Hey Mix Master G, I just tried al steps, but I cannot open iFunbox. Mac reports an error when I open it (not the unknown developer alert, the app itself crashes before fully opening) I already uninstalled it completely and re-downloaded the file, but still it's not opening. Do you have any alternative to it?

Is it possible to import an existing Traktor library & playlists into Apple music? I'm seeking to get away from Traktor Pro 3 and use Traktor 2 on the ipad with a smaller controller - the Traktor 2 app requires music to run from Apple music library
The DJ Conversion Utility can convert Traktor Playlists to Apple's Music.app, it's a 2 step process 1. convert from Traktor to Rekordbox.xml (you don't need Rekordbox but I recommend to have the free version installed, it doesn't hurt. 2. convert from the Rekordbox.xml to Music. Traktor 2 on iOS is totally different from Traktor 3, and it is as far as I know no longer in development. Algoriddim's djay Pro 5 is a far better choice for DJ software on iOS.
@@MixMasterG Huge thanks for the swift reply. I stayed up late looking into this & i agree that there's other IOS apps that do a far better job. It's looking unfortunate that after all this time I'm needing to steer away from Traktor, particularly being such a faff to keep needing to export etc for a better mobile solution. Thanks for the steer regarding djay Pro 5, i'd assumed it was for beginners resulting Rekordbox 7 being the optimum way forwards. I'll look deeper into both thanks 👍

I cant find this rekkordbox setting! Also! I have tidal probelm!! All my playlists wont load! Im on premium! Tried also to re load all my playlists again on tidal and refresh! Still! Nothing! It shows error
the iTunes/Music integration of DJCU is used to recreate the playlists, which are direct accessible from within the djay app and syncable to iOS as demonstrated in the tutorial. There is no direct playlist creation in djay Pro 5.

I've chosen to prioritize maintaining a strong reputation for going the extra mile to support users of my tools, and I simply can't provide that level of support on the Windows platform.
About to dive into this video, but the question I'm coming in with is, if I intend on (eventually) converting flac files for compatibility with pioneer gear, should I not organize them in rekordbox as flac? Is it better to convert first and then organize? Ideally, id like to play with flac, but I just want to make sure im not giving myself extra work in this process hehe :)
One additional question you state that: "The IR collection back up tool, will only copy tracks that are not on the Denon Prime performance drive or that were modified after they were copied over" .. what exactly counts as "modification"? Let's say I successfully backed up the RB collection to my Prime performance drive, next I change some meta-data in my Rekordbox collection: e.g. adding a new Memory Cue in a track that has been copied before -> will that count as modification and will a new XML export subsequently overwrite (add) this Memory Cue to the same track on my Denon Performance Drive when using the Denon Conversion Utility?
Modified = data written to the tags of the audio files, RB cues/loops etc are not written to the audio files so no change for that. In that case run DeCU with the XML on the performance drive (Rekordbox.xml) and select the playlist(s) the tracks are in, the audio files are fine already
@Mix Master G after formatting the USB to Exfat format -> I open rekordbox and it gives met the following noitification: "The tracks can be exported to the USB but cannot be played on the current device in the current file system of the USB deivce, please format to FAT16 or FAT32" - Will your tool(s) still work if I erase the device and choose to format it as MS-DOS (FAT) - FAT32?
@@MixMasterG But you would not recommend to use the same USB for exporting my rekordbox collection to, and hence choose MS-DOS (FAT) - FAT32 or would it make more sense to use a second USB on which I could maintain my Rekordbox (only) collection?
@@cajan-music go Rekordbox only FAT32, and 1 USB is not a USB, but a disaster in the making. At least the same number of USBs as you have players and one spare.
