Ok id like to update......the actual dismantling of the scooter was easy enough....and i used a heat gun instead of a hair dryer ...All basic tools then...I've taken off the tyre easy enough and a friend of mine will put the new tyre on at his garage because i cannot be bothered to struggle with the new tyre ....The tyree i actually bought isnt the best quality like the original so ive purchased a thicker and better quality tyre for the next removal in the future. Its not as bad as it looks guys ..this video made it alot easier .
I have something to update now I have had received a flat I've attempted to repair the hole with the tubeless repair kit ....It worked for about 2 days of normal use . I believe three tyres are of low quality rubber ...the hole was the smallest and it seemed to be easily punctured ....I recommend a change of tyre maybe switch to self healing tyre or solid like they have put in the nui q air ....This process to remove the back tyre is ridiculous.. I'm using this video on the weekend to put my spare tyre on then I'll be purchasing solid tyres for the future .
I used to change tires for a living as a young lad. I notice you didn't lubricant the tire before mounting the tire. Great suggestion, you can use petroleum jelly around the bead of the tire. It'll help getting the tire into the rim and seal. Once you get the air in
THIS VIDEO IS THE WORST. Do NOT try to do this yourself! It is not worth your time or the parts you need to purchase. Take it to your local scooter repair shop. For anyone in the LA area I recommend Rogue Scooters they saved my life after wasting so many pointless and costly hours on the poor advice in this video.
Got a flat on my front tire. Tried to remove it from the rim using this method but it seems to be glued to the rim. Doesn't matter how hard I press the sides together, the tire does not get loose from the inside of the rim which makes it impossible to get the tool between the tire and the rim.
it's not glued - theres just a bunch of metal wires in the tyre that makes it sit REALLY tight.... i ended up cutting the tyre to get to the wire and bending with a screwdriver to get em apart. a hand vice is strongly recommended
Hydraulics mate?? Screw it on while it's mounted to a scooter and stand on it, use a big vise or any big clamps, use a ratchet strap. How is that a problem Thanks for the video tho mate. You took the risk for me😂 I was unsure of how they were built even tho I suspected them to be crappy but I didn't wanna spill fluid all over my floor 👌now I'm gonna upgrade the hell out of them cheers
I just got a Max to replace my E45 I had for 2+ years (it electrically failed, mainly due to the whole 'hang a big battery off the downtube and secure it with two screws' thing being a fundamentally flawed idea, which is why none of Segway-Ninebot's later models did that). I'm glad to see how serviceable the Max is, since I intend to keep mine for much longer then I had my E45.
Hello I am going to change the rear tire of my scooter, the question is when I take apart the entire rear part, will the scooter still be waterproof, thanks for your video
I'm not sure if you'll read this but i was wondering if I could get a link to where you got this brake cable? I'd really appreciate it. Every brake cable I've looked at or bought has been too short.
13:19 Thank you very much for this informative video. I had to pause the vid to immediately cancel my pending order for the upgrade tire as you quickly made me realize that I am not prepared for this battle att. At the point in the vid the struggle with the levers is inserting too far. Not catching the angle tip and only that. Been there, it's tricky.
My IScooter 10Max has the brake same kit. I went thru the same steps as you but cannot find that balance as far as making to turning resistance of the wheel go away. Found the brake balance.
I have this scooter and I would strongly recommend to avoid it and find something that's easier to maintain. I got a flat on my KQI PRO 3 and it's a nightmare to change
Fuck monorim, no company is worth buying from that uses these kind of tactics. Hey we have a better product, then send you inferior parts and refuse to accept returns. Total scumbags
Great video, one point to add tho, save yourself a lot of time, and mix some dish soap and water in a cup, use your fingers to put it on the tire and the rim to lubricate it. This is a commonly used trick to get real tires on car rims, it works the same. Thanks for the video! Just finished up!
Why on my segway ninebot it’s show you vechibel is on lock mode when I allay try to move it forward and on my screen it’s only show Bluetooth nothing else no pictures of signal of key , i really don’t know what to do, nobody can help
Clamps are a thing for compressing. Just use two boards, one with a hole in the middle for the top and the other on the bottom between the forks and you can use as many clamps as it takes on the two sides of the boards. I think even ratchet straps might be able to do the trick, those springs are laughable. Hopefully you already figured it out by now. Plus, a press wouldn't work as well for this as you'd imagine. It's awkward when you can't handle the thing you're putting together.
Thank you! Something punctured my rear tire and it's too bad to plug it, so I need to buy a replacement tire but wanted to change it myself to save money. This scooter has been serving me well for over 1000km now and having it be out of action sucks cause I have to waste more money driving my car instead.
