I find it interesting that, of all the shows featured, the only ones Hanna-Barbera DIDN'T produce are "Super 6" and "Super President", both from DePatie-Freleng. It really highlights just how dominant they were in the TV animation field by then.
I would love to but it got flagged for copyright and I had to remove it. I was surprised because Hanna-Barbera has never released any Ruff & Reddy on DVD. You can watch it on this link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fmUtH8-Ie0s.html
Back in the late 1990's to about 2003...before internet we all traded VHS tapes and then e-bay was selling 16mm fillms...so collectors were able to piece together from old films or VHS tapes. Some from film.
This gag was later recycled into the Season 4 "The Flintstones" episode "Cave Scout Jamboree" when Fred performs such a rain dance. The difference is that it's just a small rain cloud that zaps Fred with lightning and rains on him, and it uses one of the usual Hanna-Barbera "Castle Thunder" sound effects compared to the thunder here.
My favorite cartoon adventure show was Ruff & Ready. These commercials bring back some great memories. Ironically, the "new" cereal Post Alphabits was discontinued in 2021.
I wish they would bring back Alpha-bits. Ruff & Reddy were actually re-broadcast on Boomerang back around the year 2000 and also on FAM-TV in the 1990's. Original show was 1957-1960.
What about the cameo of Huckleberry Hound, Quick Draw McGraw, Snagglepuss, Snooper and Blabber, Baba Looey, Pixie, Dixie, & Mr. Jinks, Hokey Wolf & Ding-A-Ling, Auggie Doggy & Doggy Daddy, Cindy Bear, Boo-Boo Bear, & Yakky Doodle in Yogi's Birthday Party?
Just one 20 second Yogi character bumper called "Violence On TV". I'm always searching for more. The Yogi Bear DVD Box set has Kellogg's Yogi Bear theme songs begin & end. Also Huckleberry Hound Season One Box.
