Great song, I just have to add one comment about the introduction, the Germans never called themselves Nazis. It was considered an insult in their country. But great job by the British navy
@@0ddba1l I wasn't trying to blame you for the term. It is used commonly and unless you are obsessed with history you are unlikely to know anything about the original meaning of the word. All the best to you.
@@margaretbasile1625 Yes NATIONAL SOCIALIST and they were Socialists not FAR RIGHT as people say since the 1970's. Always LEFT wing like Stalin their one time ally.
I'm descended from Alexander Kerr who was sent to Jamestown or be hung. He was the son of Laird Archibald Anthony Kerr and the Lady Helen Sinclair. Ferniehurst I believe.
I just saw a video on this the guy who played the Captain of the H.M.S. Prince of Whales in the movie Sink the Bismarck Eddison Knight was really there during the Battle of the Denmark Straight and like in the movie he was badly injured and was blind for 2 years till he regained partial sight in his right eye.
a great example of doing as you please, the appearances of the passengers crew and aircraft all catch the just post war era very well.In 1966 the air charter companies did well using surplus Ansons to ferry supplies to the Isle of man in the seamans strike .
I had the opportunity to fly in an Anson at ATC summer camp: RAF Stradishall, in 1954. I declined, after mates spoke of their experiences in the flying shed. My first flight was in a DHC Chipmunk, instead. The Anson was a boneshaker.
I got one question and it has to do with the I.J.N. Yamato was she already in service at the same time as the Bismarck or was she still under construction during the events with the German Battleship I sure would like to know
Every time I see that scene of the battle of the Denmark straight betwwen the Bismarck and the Prince of Wales where the said British ship was brand new and fresh out of the shipyards with a rookie crew where they scored a direct hit on the Bismarck on her bow section with a direct hit that went in one side and out the other reminded me of a line I heard in the movie 'Memphis Belle' and it went something like this 'Son of a Bitch first time out and they scored a kill'.
@@susanwahl6322Yeah and sadly like what happened to the Father and Country from the movie Memphis Belle the Prince of Wales also got bloodied during it's first engagement against the Bismarck as I commented the guy who played her Captain in this movie was from the real Prince of Wales and was there during the Battle of the Denmark Strait and was wounded and was blind through most of the war in particular to the right eye where he also regained partial sight in.
Ever since I first saw this movie one thing has always bugged me and it has to do with during Lutjen's speech to the crew of the Bismarck those images of the crew were those film shots of the ships real crew or used footage of another WW2 German ship that was used in this movie.
The wood on the grip had woodworm and as I shaped the grip holes formed which had to be filled in and the grip re-sanded after the making of this video.
You need to take them to a key programer lock smith, it seems you can only have 2 keys on the system but in reality to be safe you should have 3. Key 1 with you when you are out, Key 2 at home in a safe location, Key 3 hidden in the car in case Key 1 stops working when you are out. I found out this year if the battery falls out the fob while you are driving the car will refuse to use that key when you put the battery back in. This meant I had to walk home and get my spare safe key and come back to the car. The best option is have both good keys with you when you are driving, Key 1 in use, Key 2 hidden some place in the car and key 3 is just a none active key safe at home that will just open the door if you lose your main key while you are out. I would rather have the old days with a basic dumb key!
The technology presented in this video is incorrect. German scientists created anti-gravitational systems far more advanced than a fan concept, as suggested in this video.
If you buy a pre made slew ring they are expensive and heavy, by making 2 steel tube loops you can have the turret on the top ring on rollers and the inside ring just hangs inside and stops it jumping of the tank.
@@0ddba1l I appreciate your information.. I'm making my tank out of a Cushman trackster with tracks instead of a 6-8 wheeler with tracks.. you have been a great help. Jeff USA
Sorry, but even though it's one of my favorite WW2 movies and I love this scene with Robert Mitchen, this movie was made to be in black and white and colorizing it destroys it. Just my opinion, you may disagree.
