Awesome video, thank you. I do have a question though on how to query the data from business central. For example we can use sql query to join and bring up data in power bi when the data house in sql server on premise. In the case of Business central, how can we do that query part? Is it even possible like in sql server we are able to do? Practically query helps for better performance in power bi so not sure how that can be achieved when the data resides in business central. If you could please do a video on that, it would help a lot of viewers. Appreciate the efforts.
BC only has API access, i believe. i think you'd need to export the data to data lake / synapse or somewhere using azure data factory so that you could report on it via TSQL.
in 25 minutes you explained so important topics which are currently on demand in Job Market. I am talking about 2024. Thank you so much Young Boy. You are going very Far..Good Luck
Hi - Really interested in Demo 1&2 Any chance of getting the VS Code for them please ? Also I've setup my Azure storage and containers.. but i have no idea on re-creating your azure function app, is this also possible - Cheers

SPS has a product that does this. There's a code package that gets imported into finance and ops. If you want more info, reach out to +1-866-245-8100 and ask for sales.
I found this video really helpful thank you. I need to report on Supplier invoices paid in a period - anyone know what web service links payments to invoices?
Hi, master thank you for your wonderful video. I trying to create a flow to create a record on D365FO using create record action in power automate. But I cannot find the D365FO instance in the instance list of power automate. Do you know why?
Hi master thank you for your video and knowledge sharing. by the way can you guide me when I wish to delete items in sharepoint when Item in D365 deleted how should i do?
should look like this: &page=50&filter='Document Type' is 'Order' and 'No.' is '@{outputs('Get_document')?['body/number']}' or it will revert back to the first document in the list.
hi, i have tried to connect business central Onpremise wih powerbi using same process as you shown in this vedio, but this is showing the Remote connection not valid, error. is there any other way to connect the same?
When building out Power Bi reports for Business Central On-Prem I would always connect directly to the SQL Database and pull in the tables needed using SQL query. That might be easier for you.
Hi Igor, thanks for the informative video. I am consulting customers for BC Cloud. In PowerBI there is directly a connector for BC Cloud. But this always takes my own login and goes to my own tenant. How can I connect to another tenant with a specarate login?
Hi Steven - You reference a financial report at one point in this video. I like building financial statements in Power BI using COA outputs from ERP. The tricky part is developing the logic for the hierarchy of the accounts. I've done this with other ERP, but am new to BC. Do you know of a good table in BC or any quick logic to build the hierarchy using the Chart_of_Accounts Page API?
In BC use category and Sub category above your account in your hierarchy. Other method is to create a function in Power query that uses the "Totaling" column from Account table but you'll need custom API for that query. The third method is to create a table manually that mimics the Chart of Accounts in BC. Not a fan of that but hey, sometimes it's what you have to do
Hi Igor.. It was really informative. One question - if there is any update in the customer ledger entry or any addition of items due to new PO. Will the changes reflect directly on the BI ? Can you please explain this ?
"This session will include a hands-on of how to create and connect with Azure Integration Services using the Dynamics 365 FO integration stack." Oh really? Where?
Nothing useful: no meat. 15 minutes of high-level introduction (which doesn't help much). Then more high-level overview of various approaches (no details), and he doesn't even cover them in the right order. Then he says he is going into a deep dive, but doesn't cover them in the right order, and also says he won't cover them in detail ... because of time. He could have cut the high-level introduction by 10 minutes and spent that time on more details. How to beat around the bush and make 10 minutes of useful information into a 50-minute talk.
