I'm the opposite, i never got the things i ever wanted so im depressed. However, deep inside i know that if i were to get all the things i ever wanted, i would still be unhappy. I feel like life just let me down. This world is a messed up place. I still see beauty in it but it's really rare. I think im becoming a hikkokimori and currently struggling with hoarding. It's not extreme hoarding but i feel like if could get rid of all my material possesions, maybe that would make things better. I'm 30 and i still keep my high school books and notebooks. I just feel like all the effort we put into everything is just for nothing. I think i want to become a monk or just leave in a small town. I think realizing that we are all slaves to the system has been the most difficult part of life. Everyday is just the same. We go to work and then we go home and next day will be the same. I'm sorry for this comment that has nothing to do with this video, I guess i just needed to vent a little, i don't have any friends so it's nice to have a space to release my emotions. Great video buddy, keep it up.
You’re seriously not the only one who feels like this. I remember listening to a podcast about a man who had gone missing, his family found him homeless and he said something along the lines of despite how hard it is to be homeless, it’s the most free he had felt in awhile. Now this isn’t me saying everyone should just become homeless. But sit and think about that statement for a while. That says a lot about our society already. Basically what im saying is if stepping away from society sounds more like your thing then I say go for it. Human aren’t mean to live like this anyways. If your heart isn’t in the place it wants to be right now. Go find a place to call home. Even if others don’t understand how or why you would wanna do what you set out to do.

I've been on my own self-actualization journey for the past 3 years and it's been tough but after a while I began to understand why I wake up every day. I truly get to appreciate and be mindful of who I am not only as a creator but as a human being, as we all are. Live happily and be your genuine self. I have yet to put my perspective out there but I appreciated and respected yours. This is a reminder to keep going and you've got this Tyler! This video is full of wisdom! Thanks so much for making it! We are trying to process this all right now as we have simply grown tired of making our old content. Can’t fake it anymore. Shifting gears has not been successful and our channel is slowly dying. Our options are either to accept it or keep trying to perform, but performing for others is not sustainable. Acceptance is freeing, though!

Putting out a video a week for years sounds like a grind. It is hard to rehash the same content. It is harder to inject new elements ever so often (to keep old viewers and attract new viewers).
You’re the breath of fresh air that I’ve been looking for on YT. Looking forward to see your perspective. I’m fatigued of people cleaning or every channel talking about the iPhone 16.
Your video basically is explaining what I am currently going through. It's nice to see other creators that have a same point a view although on a different perspective. Makes feel that there is a world where in struggles makes us all united. thanks!
But also consider that they have a small child, and there is a high possibility that he is not getting enough sleep. I own with my partner a travel agency, and when I became a mom, my daughter didn’t sleep through the night for three years. My partner and I had to take turns on a weekly basis because I was so sleep-deprived. At one point, we even considered selling our company, but what kept us going was our employees - we’re like a small family, thank God. She finally started sleeping through the night around the age of three, and now, at four, when I look back on those times, I hardly recognize myself. Extreme sleep deprivation can change you in so many ways, and it’s good that he gave himself a break. It could be what you’re describing, but it could also just be the new role of parenthood.

Like other full time RU-vidrs have already commented, this is great stuff. A lot of this rings true for me at several points in my 17 year long RU-vid career. There's probably a reason this popped up in my feed. haha! For me another part of the struggle seems to be not only that I changed but the entire landscape changed. My creativity was born out of a different RU-vid and a different world. It's sometimes hard to figure out where I fit in a newer much more advanced RU-vid. Anyway, thank you. You are good at this.

Maybe the issue is: “Once you start riding that social media RU-vid bicycle to seek views, you cannot stop otherwise you’ll be afraid you will fall off…” It is not difficult to see this perpetual hamster wheel leading to depression.
Everything you ever wanted doesn’t exist. That’s a moving goalpost. What you liked at 1, is different to 2 and so on. Matt’s a father now, he would adjusting to looking after a new human being! Goals change…
Great content! I just subscribed. I wanted to share a quick story from my experience as a personal trainer. Every gym I worked at, there were always trainers who said things like, 'There are no more clients to get because all the potential clients are working with someone else.' But I always made it a point to talk to every member, make small talk, and build relationships. Because of that, I consistently outperformed most trainers. I guess my point is, it can always feel like the market is saturated, but if you really enjoy the process, there’s a huge market for your unique perspective. Sure, not everyone will like what you do, but if you stay true to yourself, you'll find people who resonate with you. Just my experience, and I hope it’s helpful. Thanks again for sharing! Be yourself, believe in yourself, and listen to yourself!
I am totally feeling the same now. The thing with apathy, at least for me, is that is not super bad to the point to get you moving, but also not super good that things are great. It's like a void, that you haven o energy to get out

The label thing is really real. What I am going through is that my current label (aka my job/profession) doesnt serve me anymore, only to pay the bills. And while I am trying to build a new path as a creator, it's taking way longer than I thought. So even though I want to rip off the label of my profession I still need to work a job that I dont feel pleasure or purpose of doing any longer

Can I give my opinion? I think when he moved out of the country. I know how hard it is leaving states from your home. Leaving the country is a whole nother thing. Always loved the Australian pillow that was on his couch for years. When he moved I was actually shocked. So idk

That's primarily pointing at the trajectory of my 9-5 - which although it can be lucrative, would almost certainly require me to report to bosses for the rest of my life, perform activities that don't align with my values, etc.
For years I've recorded videos here and there but never became consistent with it. I suppose I'm worried about it becoming another job and source of pressure as Matt D'Avilla commented on your other video which would happen almost automatically once it's actually successful or other people are onboarded. Doing it solo is easier in that sense, but it's also much harder to attain consistency.
Wow, loved this. I was amazed to realise the gaslighting around terminology describing how introverts present/interact. These terms to describe introverts are so entrenched I hadn’t questioned them before. Also, the ending and connection you made with Rene was amazing!
I resonate 🙋♀️ Everything you said after 9:12 in particular are the conclusions I’ve reached about my own RU-vid journey. Just had a ‘big’ video on my channel, which took months to create, fail spectacularly. That followed 5 weeks of working full time (long days) on my RU-vid content for next year and sacrificing a lot this summer. But in doing RU-vid I’m investing in myself rather than working on other people’s projects and that’s important to me just now. I’ve watched two of your videos this morning (and subscribed) and I think you are really strong/authentic at reflection and expressing these ideas. Just my opinion but I think that’s what might resonate most with an audience. Because of this I’m very likely to watch your next video as soon as it pops up in my feed. 🎉Best of luck! 😊
