@@jackieaguirre8318 umm i don’t really measure. i keep a small container & maybe 2 tablespoons oxide, one cup of water. give it a good mix. i just add another scoop every now & then if it looks too watery.
Hi Felicci, yes these are midfire cone 6 in an electric kiln with Amaco Saphire blue glaze. I leave the iron wash on for a good 20-30 mins before wiping off. 😁👋🏻
Hi sorry just have another quick question if you dont mind 😅 have you ever tried putting a clear glaze on top of the iron oxide wash? If so, did it affect the color in any way?
@@kedabro Hi Felicci, actually no I’ve never tried, because most of my pots i like the rustic raw finish, but I’m sure it would work ok. maybe do a little test tile. I would make sure it is very dry & dip the clear. I think brushing might make it smeary.
