Aight you got a new subscriber!!!! I’m pretty much going the same route as you. PRL cai, ktuner and I’ve been eyeing the invidia r400. Best sound for me. And now I see you have the 27won tip. Sounds really good!! Hope to see more!!! What other plans do you have?
Yes, this is a front pipe back exhaust. As long as you don’t take out the catalityc converter, which is on the downpipe coming out of the turbo, you’ll be fine.
I did! It’s very tedious but the instructions were very clear...just make sure you have a swivel socket, it’ll make your life 10 times easier. 2 hours max for install
I switched from a muffler delete to this setup and it was WAY better. The sound is deeper but louder as the revs go up without too much drone. I did upgrade the DP/FP at one point but I went back to stock after emission problems. It got a little rowdy with that set up though, I got a lot of unwanted attention. The sound also changed after a couple thousand miles.
Hello again, I’m just wondering what rpm you get the drone? Do you get it between 1700-3000? I’m usually cruising between 1800-2500 and I don’t want a lot of drone. Thank you
I'm gonna subscribe to you just in case you upload more setup videos. I got a 2019 honda civic hatchback 1.5 with invidia r400 exhaust, short ram mishimoto intake and now I'm debating if I should get a catted 27won downpipe first or TIP -__-'
@@jamesmedina2062 that’s true but since they’re running catless it’s louder than my civic with a catted downpipe. I also now have the inlet pipe and it sounds awesome
Honestly everything has been flawless. The car really came alive after a tune. I did get a custom tune after a couple thousand miles, but i ran the basemaps for around 20k. No issues whatsoever.
@@jeco3401 if you’re talking about base maps, they’re all pretty conservative but make a huge difference. Keep in mind that if you have a stick shift, our clutches are by far the weakest point. Base maps are really reliable though, you can search through forums and get some feedback from others
The windows actually go up at around the 0:50 second mark. There's a small hint of drone sometimes but i usually just turn my music up a little and i can't tell it's there.
I don't think so since this is meant for the Hatchback with the 1.5t engine which has a different layout even though they're both center exit exhausts.
@@DINGMAO I believe it's the same situation. I would think the sport sedan and the Si sedan would have a pretty similar layout but they have a different engine as well as hangers so i doubt it will fit. I'd recommend asking on the forums to be 100% sure. www.civicx.com/forums/general-10th-gen-discussions.2/
@@TherealToppo Yeah the type r does come with the front pipe. I think the only exhaust for the 1.5t that comes with a front pipe is the Thermal. The 27won has an optional front pipe but its a bit pricey imo.
@@fabianlv48 yea that front pipe is pretty expensive from everyone. Hopefully I can get the r400 on by the weekend so I can upload some vids. No videos at all with a catless downpipe on the 1.5t with the invidia. I wonder if I'm the first si with open down and the r400 smh.
is the drone bad? i have a muffler delete right now and the drone is at the point where its just loud in the car and cant hear much of the exhaust since the interior is basically vibrating at 2k and then again at 3.5k+. so i basically have to stay at 3k rpm to not have constant hum. let me know please!
I had a muffler delete before this and i ran into the same problem. It was all drone and the exhaust was barely audible. With this, there is still some drone present at around 3k-3.5k rpm under heavy load, but otherwise you can barely tell it's there when cruising. You can actually hear the exhaust when you really get on the gas unlike the muffler delete!
I ordered this from procivic today with hopes I can install myself. Did you install yours, I can't find any vids of one being installed except on type r.
Yeah, it was a pretty straightforward install. The exhaust is one piece. I would recommend going to the 27won website and following their instructions for their front-pipe back exhaust install. It's exactly the same process.
@@tomlo1289 I love it. It's not too loud but you can definitely tell it's there when you push the car. Would definitely recommend it for the price, plus i love the huge burnt tips!
@@tomlo1289 There are some faint pops & crackles when shifting early (before 3k rpms) sometimes in 1st and 2nd gear, but you have to be listening up close. A catless DP makes pops and crackles with this exhaust but its LOUD.
@@tomlo1289 It has been holding up great so far. I was scared of the same thing but i've driven through some serious downpours and no issues at all. Big difference since i switched from an AF dynamics short ram. That intake made the car run funky. I still worry sometimes and i would avoid deep puddles as that's where you run into the risk of hydrolocking. If you're seriously worried and it rains a lot where you live i would just go with the prl short ram. Temps are about the same as the stock airbox but it's super loud and it'll keep your fuel trims where they're supposed to be.
I think they're pretty close in terms of sound. The Greddy might be a little louder, but it's hardly noticeable. I heard them side by side and could barely tell the difference. The main difference is that this has a resonator and two canister mufflers so it's pretty quiet when cruising, you can barely tell it's there.
I would definitely recommend this! it has a nice deep tone to it, and you can barely hear it when cruising, but if you step on it you'll definitely know it's there! Plus the burnt tips look awesome.
There is some drone at around 3k-3.5k rpm but it's not bad at all. I actually heard the injen before i bought this and i decided against it because it was too loud. It's basically a straight pipe. This isn't too loud but you can definitely hear it. Perfect sound imo. I'll try to get a better video sometime this week.
I’ve heard the Injen before as well but it honestly didn’t sound bad but now that I got it it’s a different story. I’m trying to see if I can exchange it. Funny story the Invidia was my first choice should’ve stuck with it.
