We may not agree on everything necessarily, but I am happy to FINALLY find someone else who can see just how bad Opera really is. I do want to note that in the 1.10 update, her Ash enhanced AAM Clip is significantly more powerful, even somewhat broken with the Ring of Lightspeed or Winged Bracelet. However, all of the critical points here are still valid. She's not remotely competitive with the good characters unless she's also using the Earring of Frenzy. You need 960 base HIT to reach perfect accuracy with Angel Feather on Chaos, and she's not getting there without a major damage trade off. All of her best moves being elemental is just damning against the end-game and post-game bosses... to get around that you have to commit your Formation, which is a huge DPS loss for anyone not using elemental moves. One thing that isn't covered is the possibility of getting total invulnerability using Bloody Helmet + MP Drain (which protects from instant death and all status as well). This is unquestionably the best setup for every fighter except Precis (who can't use it) but is admittedly a little boring. Opera actually CAN get perfect accuracy, but to do that she needs to give up her weapon Factor for Mental Focus instead of HP/MP Drain, so she will lose invincibility or die if the fight goes on too long. No matter which way you go with Opera, you always have to sacrifice something - damage, defenses, or accuracy - and that's what makes her an awful fighter. Compare to Welch who is not only stronger, but gets to completely skirt the accuracy issue, or to the swordsmen whose powers are actually *wildly enhanced* by a low HP invincibility strategy. She and Ashton both suffer similar mediocrity in the main-game, but the difference is that he is eventually raised up to effortless power by post-game gear, while she is left scraping by.
I'm bored so I think I'll watch through all of these... On one hand I'm impressed that you went to the trouble of finding the characters' base stats for comparison, however Precis' low STR is not a problem at all. Her SDUGA Puncher has 1600 base ATK, which is among the best for main game weapons, and her Roaring Burst Puncher's triple art damage elevates her way beyond most other characters in post-game - she doesn't need the Earring of Frenzy at all. The most significant equipment problem she has is that she's not allowed to use Bloody gear anymore, but even that's not nearly as bad as it sounds since she can attack from any range to stay safe. I disagree with your statement that Precis is a late bloomer. Forcefield is insane and you can make it with Machinery immediately by using Writing and Rainbow Diamonds to cap it out almost for free. The high MP cost of the move will hurt you early, but you can slot in a Faerie Ring to offset that. You're definitely right that Bowman used to be way better than she was, but now I think the equation is completely flipped.
God and Jesus Loves you so much God Sent Jesus to die for your sins and God Raised Jesus from the dead three days later proving Jesus is The Son of God. Repent and believe in The Gospel to be Saved it’s that simple❗️❗️❗️ love y’all and stay safe
Meteor Palm is his main DPS move, cost only 7MP, but deal super damage when maxed, easy to spam! Sword Bomber is a bit stronger but it's easy to miss small targets! Phase Gun, Sword of Life are great. Helmetbreak is good early game, weak late game. Other moves are craps.
It's mostly because of the new stage itself. Enemies have a ton of health and hit really hard so you can't style too much like i do in basically all of my other videos. Rather unfortune really. Thanks for the comment.
I will, but probably after I showcase standard runs for each first. I've just been really busy in general and have been playing a lot of granblue fantasy relink and dragons dogma 2. Now, it's even more of a mess with one piece pirate warriors 4 dlc and star ocean 2 remake update dropping so close to each other.
im running duran kevin and the spear girl and i feel the int special effect is quite good because the spear lady buff the squad physical dmg so does duran with his dark light build so it just the pain train
Alpha on One was my favorite Opera move on the PS 1 version as the more you use it, the more spheres it will shoot out. And there was almost no lag so you can stun lock the boss. Even Indalecio awakened was easy to stun lock. For this remake, the best move for me was gravitational sphere. Alpha on One is still okay.
he was faster in the original game... his air slash has a VERY noticeable pause... while in the old game it didn't have a pause before the sword execution... just disappointed me a bit
In the remake, special moves spam was nerfed and many special moves themselves were changed. Some moves were hit rather hard by this like Poison Pills, Tear Gas, Chaos Sword, etc. However, Dias' Air Slash somehow dodged a bullet as Air Slash is still super fast, has multiple hits both ground and air (original was 1x ground, 2x air) and pierces through enemies traveling the entire screen.
@@sumslay Unbelievable, you might be the first person I've seen on the Internet who doesn't think Air Slash was nerfed... And you're absolutely correct. It's better now than it's ever been. More hits and piercing with a raised damage cap completely solved Dias' issue of low DPS. Top 5 move in the game for sure, which is really saying something considering the buffs some others received.
Welch is a monster on my squad. Slappity Slap + Rapid Flick is a goat. Her defense sucks, but i supplemented it with equipment. Start or break up attack with Mith Fist then SS+RF
One of the coolests new additions. Hope you eventually do whitebeard, which, if i remember correctly you said is one of the top 3. Also, which versions of kaido and sanks are the best? Base game or dlc?
Base game Kaido for his Dragon Full Force Burst. It's what makes him so immensely powerful and not just some simple giant like Urouge.. As for Shanks, Film Red is much easier to use, but forces a basic. strict style of play. Regular Shanks is more versatile but just as good. Ultimately they end up the same: massive screen clear and lots of red lightning.
@@sumslay Hope you cover a lot of the roster, since i really enjoy watching your vids, let's see if when the final dlc drops, they announce a new game or a complete version for the latest gen.
Akainu is the best follow by Aokiji. I used to put Fujitora over Kizaru, but Kizaru has benefited greatly from all the DLC so I'm not sure anymore. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy.
Whitebeard, Kaido and Big Mom are the top 3 still. After that there are a lot of really good characters: Akainu, Kuzan, Shanks, X Drake, Smoothe, Zoro, Luffy, Koby, Blackbeard, Katakuri, etc. Also,, Uta is definitely one of the worst.
I haven't played SW5 in a very long time so I really couldn't tell you. Nobunaga, Mitsuhide, Kenshin, Tadakatsu I remember being very good. I also remember the spear users being pretty bad.
He is looking a lot better in this version ! On the fence about buying this game or not … played the ps1 and psp versions but did enough change to warrant a purchase in your opinion?
This is probably the best remake ever made. There's a handful of changes I'm not a fan of, like they neutered Ashton and nerfed Chisato somewhat, but by and large it's the definitive version of Star Ocean 2, with exceptional quality of life improvements and new postgame content.
Celine Ashton Precis Noel Leon Welch are crap and are NEVER in my party EVER so Bloody armor Claude Opera Chisato Dias/Bowman NOW and NEVER EVER REMOVE IT EVER.
