New Atlas has been celebrating innovation for almost two decades. We cover advances in transport, technology, science, architecture and design, and we try to have fun doing it.
If you are looking for Gizmag, this is the right place - we changed our name to New Atlas a couple of years back.
why do we need that in the Earth? what the hell are you expecting from the future, any asteroid crash to destroy Life? Throw em from a plane for biowars? Agriculture in the desert areas with artificial rain clouds?
Why is everyone complaining about it getting flung when hit? Are trying to get hit? Motorcycles too would fly if hit, at least it has a bit more protection.

They claim this will eliminate piston rocking. So does it keep the piston always tilted to the same side? Rocking is not such a bad thing, as it gives the oil a chance to get between the sliding surfaces. You are definitely NOT eliminating side thrust on the piston, on at least the thrust-side skirt. It fact the extra piece acts like a lever to increase the rocking force in one (if not both) directions.

Surprised by the announcement of Suzanne leaving her position at Sanctuary AI, brilliant young lady and it will be interesting to follow along on her new journey. Just started listening to this and will probably comment further, great reference with Chappie, that was awesome, Jim Fan just posted something on LinkedIn saying that he sees the Tesla bot as being the forefront of the robotics field, specifically mentioning the hands, I replied of course, I also see this podcast was done prior to the release of Phoenix 7. Thank you both very much for sharing your time and work, Suzanne, and Loz, great conversation touched on multiple issues and projects that are coming down the pipeline, ✌🏻
