This is a simple channel. Review some gear and play with some stuff. I live in the Eastern PA area and this channel is mostly going to deal with me trying to prep in this suburban/city environment. Any advice or comments feel free to send me a comment.
I love my Unity Hot Button lol its a really cool upgrade from the Basic Tape Switch. I'm fine with the minimal amount of push on the momentary. I'd rather the like go on accidentally than not go on when I need it to.
Good stuff. I've never tried the mod button but I have used some unity pads, along with alot of pads that come with lights and lasers. I like the idea of them and they are nice having everything inline, but all pads are finicky at best. I've broken 2, stripped screws on one and the fact is I like to "c" clamp my rifle very far foward. So when I need to use pads and buttons behind the laser, I'm changing my grip aswell. So last year I finally said fuck it, got rid of all the pads and went back to using the fire button on the laser and click cap on my light. Less things to fuck up and less movement for my support hand to get to what I need, and now much happier with the setup, no tellin how much money I've wasted tryin to find the perfect button or pad....
Sounds good. Luckily I haven’t had any issues with these particular switches but some have reported issues. I always say, run what you want as long as you have trained with it and know it blindfolded. Thanks for the comment.
That rifle with the hot button, Mawl, and surefire mounted required the front sight to be mounted that way. It was the easiest way to clearance the head of the mawl. Same with flip up sights, there is no reason you can not flip the sights to make things work better and faster.
I got a problem lol. I fear that one day, they’ll get rid of standard capacity and drop us down to that BS 10 rd nonsense so I figure,(grandfathering being key) if I can store enough mags for a life time, I’d be good. They do wear out over time and or get damaged.
I did this mod many years ago, and it worked great! That rifle is probably still setup just exactly the same and working very well. I cut parts off the inside edges and was able to tuck the afg even tighter.
9 years later, I got an Inforce for less than 100 bucks, sill kicking arse! While surefire almost got my pants on fire and their prices are foking ridiculous, fok that brand name sheet specially if is sheet what you are getting in the first place!
I draw the same way, high index , on every holster so I do not understand someone accidentally discharge their firearm. Even with thumb release still high index
Well, I was broke as a joke in my 20’s and early 30’s. Than after 7 years of trying, I finally landed the job I could have only dreamed of when I was younger. With that came lots and lots of forced OT along with voluntary OT. I don’t show much on YT when it comes to my firearms because I’m a little bit of a prepper that believes in OpSec but I do enjoy my shooting sports and having some nice range toys. That all being said, I’ve worked 32 of the last 48 hrs and the wife and kids would say my job is a curse. I wish I could own the stuff I have collected and work 40 hrs a week (or less) but that’s not the case. My grandfather use to tell me, you will be rich and you will be poor many times throughout life. Enjoy the things when you can.
@@URBANAMERICANTAC oh ok, I do that too and just got vert grip. I displace my light so got the new micro surefire, very cool light for sub guns. attached from top out of the way and has a hinge to bring light into the side of the hand guard.
@@chriss4325 that sounds good. On my latest version with the Glock mag compatible lower I picked up the SD hand guard, run a magpul vert grip as well and with the silencer omega 9k can under hand guard. I also run the factory side folder but it’s so thin that I’m probably going to get the retractable stock instead. I’m going to check out that light you got for mine. We will see.
@@URBANAMERICANTAC I do like cans on these smaller packages so I feel more comfortable about my hand wandering in front of the barrel. Light is great, little pricey but no other options, wish stream light would copy surefire on this one for the price point. Also it comes with a battery not made by surefire but EBL. I thought I got ripped off until I called them and they confirmed this is normal.
I love the fact that you start off by being super realistic and say if you have to bug out you'll die which is so true like absolutely even if you miraculously last a couple days, a week, a month you will still meet fate. Good video I was going over what I have and don't have and a parts kit is one thing I must get.
Hey bro don’t know if you will still see this , but I’m having problems finding a mag for this gun , is there any mag that is not by noveske brand that would be compatible with it
Of course. It’s a Colt SMG magazine. They are available many places but lots of places like to play games with the price. A company named Metal Form makes the factory Colt SMG mags. However, people try selling the Colt factory mags at 60-100 bucks a pop. It’s a name game. If you don’t care that it doesn’t say Colt on the magazine then get either the metal form 32rd ones for about 20-25 bucks a piece or the DuraMag branded ones. They got for around 18-22 bucks. They are a popular style of magazine and are actually just a modified Uzi magazine design. Brownells will have the same magazines for sale but I tend to see them charging double the price for the metal forms and Duramags. They also have their own brand but their brand is clearly Duramags marked up 50%. Regardless, magazine depot and Big daddy unlimited are where I always buy mine. Don’t buy them at a high price other places unless you just wanna grab a couple. Wait out the out of stock status at those two places I mentioned and get them for cheaper. P.S. the Noveske Branded mag is a metal form magazine
I acquired one of these via a friend and when I open the battery compartment it has a tiny red wire connection and no room for a battery. Any thoughts?
I have a mod button and I'm not a fan of the flat profile. Was considering the hot button for the ergos of a 45 degree housing. Didn't know the mod button has a 45 degree housing as well. You just saved me like 70 bucks. Thanks. P.S. fat chicks need love too
