I'm watching this for the 100 plus time because of the passing of the immaculate Franco Harris I'm not a hardcore Steelers fan but I am a hardcore FOOTBALL fan May all those feeling the pain of Franco's passing find comfort ...... Much love to Steelers fans everywhere
...So magical growing up as a Pgh kid in the 70's & watching the Steelers. We were watching a dynasty & just expected it as the norm. Thank you to all the Steelers greats that made that such a FUN time!...RIP Franco!
Not just great football players. God knows there are many of them but these guys were all around good men in general. Good team mates. Great contributors to society even after football and NEVER forgot where they came from. Men playing a boys game that didn't treat it as a job but just as a game. That is why they were as good as they were. Other teams also. Cowboys, Raiders, Dolphins, Redskins 49ers......sense the trend? Real men played during those times. That is why they were all great. Chuck Noll hit the nail on the head. Team work. This team saved this city during that time and that bond will never be broken
There aren't better fans in professional sports than Pittsburgh Steelers fans and its funny we are a small rust belt city in the hills of Appalacha I dont remember PNC Park selling out very often lots of rumors about the Pirates moving the Penguins had some troubles in the past I dont think we could support an NBA team but the Pittsburgh Steelers will ALWAYS be in our hearts and minds past present and future and when I get to heaven I know in my heart God will be swinging a terrible towel every time a Steelers fan arrives.
Every time I watch this it brings a tear to my eyes this was my childhood growing up watching the greatest team of all time the STEELERS of the 70s always and forever
I grew up watching the Steelers of the 70's. I still have my playoff ticket stub when they beat the colts and went on to beat the Cowboys in the super bowl.
The Steelers of the 70s may have been the greatest team ever assembled. By my count, there were 5 hall of famers on the offensive side of the ball and 4 on the defensive side. Not to mention a hall of fame head coach. And think about the other great players not in the hall such as LC Greenwood, Donnie Shell, and Rocky Bleier. What a team!
Big Ben, Hines Ward, Alan Faneca, troy Polamalu, James Harrison, LC Greenwood, Donnie Shell should all be in some day. I could also make a case for Greg Lloyd and Joey Porter.
Growing up in Detroit in the 70s I was and still am a lions fan but I also loved the Steelers Ham, Lambert, Rocky he’ll tge whole damn team. Great football teams
Thank God I was born in Pittsburgh and grew up in this glorious time the Mighty Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates hands down the Steelers of the 70s where the greatest NFL team of all time
The Immaculate Reception is often credited with the turn around of the Steelers franchise. I watched it unfold and always felt the turn around began with the play of a rookie rb from Penn St in 1972.
