Mods never wore DMs . That was Skinheads attire in the late 60s / early 70s . They listened to Trojan Ska and mixed with black people, the same as Mods did in the 60s.

Mods were around in the 50's..........albums shown af beginning, Specials etc is Ska/rudeboys, different to mods. Similar clothing but definitely different. I've been riding cut-down scooters since the early eighties, Ska through and through. Don't understand the newbies who wear parkas with all the Ska badges on it. It's what's wrong with the scooter scene now.....all the twist and go rubbish they ride as well
Very strange documentary. Wannabes but well filmed and edited. Shame abot the content. Mods came on the scene in 52 to 54 as Ja,z modernists. Beatnicks riding scooters who adopted the ivy league / french look. By 59 had evolved to R&B , influences were 1930s to 1940s chicago and delta blues , hence by 1962 you had The Kinks by 64 all over with High Numbers, The Creationanfred Mann etc. Then it was psychedelia . Small Faces Byrds etc. Yardbirds
Well made doumentary. These people are NOT Mod's!! I should know because I am a Mod. Two scooter boys/men and a young lad who wants to be Mod but dose not know what he is talking about. Also the young lad needs a shave if he wants to be a real mod. All three people in the doc look and sound like nice good people but they are NOT real mods! Very well made Becky.

He mentioned 1969, so he's probably more of a "Suede head" style. But, if that was his record collection he was flicking through, then he's definitely got the right music.
@@AndrewBoothakb original mods listened to a lot of jazz.....the style council first two albums were jazz influenced a lot....hence appealed to mods still leaning towards original mod influences. After the first two albums i ignored them personally.
