Hello, I don't have a display so I don't have a error number , my problem is : Inside: there is no water , Outside : floor just a I little bit , once I swich on dishwasher I can hear how the extraction pump is working but with side panel open I can see that water is not coming out , seems that inner reservoir is full . EDIT: as I can see at 3:54 there are two "solenoids" ??? the one that is under the solenoid that you change what is for? (the one connected to reservoir)
Thank you. I can add some tips and suggestions. On a series 6 you have to remove top panel, but it’s an easy as it gets, just pulling it upwards does it, and only one screw holds side panel. Draining doesn’t really takes too long. All you have to do is move the broken solenoid and let air go through. Water does not leak, it goes inside the dishwasher, no problem at all. I recommend using the original part, it’s cheaper than the alternatives and guarantees 100% compatibility. B/S/H 11033896 Changing it doesn’t takes more than 10 minutes, and really solves the error. No need to program anything, plug and play. The only thing that you need to pay attention is reinstalling the new part. You have to be sure it sits perfectly and maybe help it going in with a flat screwdriver pushing a little from behind, nothing hard. Hope this helps.
Problem solved thanks to your detailed video!! I no longer have an E-19 error and machine is working like new!! Thanks for sharing this insightful video.
I'm not having the same issue, but water is bypassing this same valve and going into my dishwasher after a cycle has finished. I confirmed this by marking the water level after the cycle finished and then watching it go down, and also watching a slow drip inside the machine. This video has been helpful in showing me how to remove the valve to put the new one in.
Thank you, saved me a pile of money been able to fix myself. Issues I found that might help others are; 1) The matrix water tank doesnt empty out on the floor as I was expecting but back into the machine when you move the valve that's in place, I was ready for a mini flood that never happened... 2) To fit the new valve in place I removed the 2 retaining screws in the middle of the matrix water tank, wedged in a knife half way up on the left hand side to make some space, then put the valve in place and I used a fork as its got a curve to push and twist the new valve into it's holder, get down low and make sure the inside clip is in place... A very straightforward job.
I don’t manage to put it back in place, I’m not sure what to do, it’s like the rubber seal is blocking it from entry. Please can someone advise. Thank you
Hi, hoping for some help. Got the new part and the side panel off with the electrical connection removed. However I am struggling to force the dishwasher to drain as it is also full. What do I need to do manually do the solenoid to allow the tank to drain?
Thanks, really helped me out of a spot with this repair. I had to cut away some plastic to get the new valve in though. Also e15 code came up because I wasn’t as careful draining the water. Soaked up the water that had gathered in the bottom and all good now.
Hi there, i know this is unlikely but i’ve got a bosch SPS46II00G/46 dishwasher. I’ve failed at the first hurdle and can’t get the side panel off. I can only find one screw towards the bottom of the front of the unit, nothing at the top. Any idea how i can take off the panel?
The video shows a Series 2 slimline dishwasher. We've got the later Series 4. It does not have the four screws as the earlier model - Just 1. This might work for you. The (only?) /EASY way to get the left hand side panel off to gain access was to remove the one screw (with the door open, on the LHS, front of machine) and remove the TOP of the dishwasher. If you look at the bottom of your washer you may see that the metal panel is held in place by 3 hard plastic lugs (about 10mm tall (cost saving for Bosch no doubt). This is achieved by pressing hard on 2 plastic levers at the front of the machine visible under the TOP panel (or see your manual). This releases the top panel. After that it is easy peasy. Removing the Top panel allows the side panel to lift up a little, clearing some lugs on the top of the machine and then the whole panel slides downwards. When you remove the valve - there is A LOT OF WATER...a LOT!! You need to do this outdoors if you can or you WILL have a wet floor. Did I say there's a lot of water? The disconnection of the wire from the valve - it is much easier than shown in the video (what was he faffing with?) . Use fingernail to pull gently on the blue plastic tang at the front and prise the connector off using a small flat blade screwdriver. You pull the tang towards you and insert the screwdriver and prise off. I then used a wrench to rotate the valve out. You have to ease out the large "water container" (the heat exchanger) or else it is difficult to remove the valve (not really enough space). Use a knife or screwdriver as in the video.
@@monabri7387 wow thanks so much for taking the time to answer me. After researching and seeing some other articles on the E19 code I've decided it's probably best I wait for an engineer to come out and take a look. It's unfortunately just out of my skill set/not worth my stress levels to try to fix it.
Waiting for replacement part to be delivered but multi-meter across valve valve is open circuit so I'm confident this is the problem. Will find out in a couple of days. Really good video and easy to follow instructions. No idea how much a repair man costs but I imagine they are not cheap - I am :) Thanks for taking the time to create and upload video.
Great Video - just installed the part. was a bit fiddly but got there in the end and saved paying €500 for a new Bosch model. Valve cost €29.30 inc shipping from Bosch. Thanks a lot!!
Absolutely brilliant. A new heat exchanger cost about £20. Bit fiddly putting it in. And reckoned it was better to put the black washer in first rather than when round the new bit. Works a treat. Many thanks.
For me I couldn't get it to drain at all with the solenoid still in place. Once I'd unclipped the tank and quarter rotated the solenoid, I was able to wiggle it out just enough to drain into the u-bend and not onto the floor.
Thank you for this! E19 came up on Thursday! Ordered the part for £19 and arrived Saturday ! Fitted with no hassle and working hours before we host a 40th birthday party for my fiancé! Much appreciated… had to half turn the old valve to release the trapped water!
Excellent video. Have exactly the same model with the same E:19 error displaying. I did google and Bosch website says it's an issue with a valve and would require a service engineer to come and fix. I figured there might be something I could so myself and your video is exactly what I needed. I have drained the heat exchanger tank etc by removing the old valve but I had to order a new valve and hasn't arrived yet. But should do the trick. I'll let you know by reply to this in the comments. Thanks a mil for a great vid and for saving me a load of money !!
Hi there. Just wanted to say thank you for the info. The little gadget cost me about 30 quid and the fix took less than an hour (my side panel wouldn't come off until the top lid was taken off). So thank you. Saved me a heap and increased my confidence in dealing with "simple" fixes like this.
