I'm an original fan of Alien. I remember when the movie came out, it felt so realistic. The crew were working people, they had to stay in stasis for the trip because of the length of time, and Nostromo felt lived in. I can remember seeing sci-fi movies of the 50s and 60; fake, fake, fake. Only 2001 was close. Now it's 2024 and 1979 "Alien" is as good as any modern movie, granted post 2020 that's a damned low bar.
