The biggest issue is the police don’t take it seriously until it’s too late. My sister was murdered in 2021 by her “boyfriend” and we are STILL trying to get him in prison for it.
The media blew something out of proporation and causing mass hysteria. In the United States? Wow. Well at least we can rest knowing that hasn't happened since... 😐
One time in middle school, I was walking in the hallway and I saw a teacher with a black eye. She said she got it from a volleyball accident, but even at that young age, I knew what was going on. I wish I was a little older and maybe I could’ve helped her out. I don’t know what happened to her after I saw that. I hope she’s safe and ok.
This whole documentary just blames Amy. It's not her fault. It's not Any victims fault. If this were a stranger doing this, it wouldn't be Much better, but it'd be a little better. They'd still blame the victim, if it was a woman, that is. Btw, her job performance wouldn't be worse just because she's being abused. I'm not sure why they keep going on about that. How was the abuser's job record??? Or is his only job abusing his wife and kids?
Truly it is a sad world when people turn a blind eye but then fhey don’t want to become a victim either. Such a shame that many abusers walk free from lack Of education of these judges who allow them To walk free. I would love to see more housing and assistance for those who have to live in fear. I praise and have so much respect for the women who run. Run with nothing in most cases to save themselves and most have children.
I saw my young housekeeper with the marks on her neck. I told her he has two kids you have two kids you're not married I will take you and yours. Leave with the clothes on your back and come to me. Four days later she did! I was pretty sure he was going to kill me, he had guns and he blamed her leaving him on me. Just when I thought I was a goner, (he was stalking me), some chick on social media scooped him up, and moved him to her 60 mi away. He had no car, so I felt a little safer. I finally found a program for her and the kids, two years of free apartment with counseling and they make the ladies save money there. Her and her two kids are doing great now, it was on the news last year that he shot his neighbor over their kids squabbling on the playground.😳

Textgate scandals aside I am a victim of failure to protect me on the past bcoz my local police thames valley police in the uk sided with the abusers not me after I texted an abuser after decades of abuse!
& THE COURT SYSTEM. you Dont believe anyone will help you because the courts are so WEAK, OR ITS A WEEKEND, when " youre on your own" Its a weak minded male who abuses, you, they believe you are their possession🤬 Not True, its also the fact these Cowards are bigger, stronger, will resort to ANY KIND OF VIOLENCE, to prove to you that you're their possession! GET OUT!!, By whatever means! So many women, Mothers, MURDERED, its like women are a personal possession that can be used as a punching bag, MURDERED, As though YOURE NOT A PERSON with rights, feelings, the Anger these males ( not men) have is so ingrained, they need to wear a DANGEROUS PERSON collar, theyre no good for anything but trouble.

The legal system has failed us on so many occasions. I'm a survivor and in my case they made so many mistakes. The judges and DAs need to get educated how these abuser operate! They profile serial killers but fall in the traps from narcissists. Just sad
It's so devestating to read all these stories! A friend of mine was in a similar situation with a Narcisist. She has a chronic condition too what made things worse when it came to being dependant on him. Eventually she left but he's still threatening her. Even though I'm handling my own trauma, I'm trying to be there for her as much as possible. I feel for Mariska too, cause she really believed nothing happened. As so many of us she buried it. Darling, rape is violence & abuse too.... Thank you for helping so many of us. Domestic violence & sexual abuse/ rape victims! Your dedication & vulnerability makes a difference in this world.
cops are still useless and untrained on this subject. They don't do anything and have never learned anything. They are not being trained to detect the signs that can lead to a worse situation like death.
We dont need comments We need solutions. I am from Turkey. My suggestion is every district should from urgent womem councils that keep in contact with all women in the district and quickly reacr to preserve the requiring one. No other solution
As a victim of domestic violence leave your stuff. It's just stuff. It can be replaced. So many victims get killed going back for their things. They end up dying over material things.
I’ve been in two abusive relationships. The first was a boyfriend in HS. He only hit me once. The 2nd was in college. He tried to choke me & I went ham and almost got arrested for beating on him. WTF.
