Question, at the very bottom where it says exposure compensation, should the dial be set to the limit? I have a xs10 (no exposure dials) can I achieve the recommended exposure meter to the specific compensation in manual mode?
Yo you got some slappers here man! Subbed! I just came out with a how to scan film youtube short. Check it out if you get a chancec my fellow film tuber! PEACE & LOVE! Happy snapping.
I was doing a lot of research about this camera and a few other options before making my decision. I literally teared up watching your video because of how beautiful it was and my husband said, "I think this is the one for you." Here I am today with my Fujifilm X100VI. Thank you!
Came here for the fuji content. But the algorithm probably brought me here. 😅 Other than that, i love hearing what film sims people are loving and using in thwir day to day.
Not that I didn’t want this camera already but this definitely sold me haha. Definitely relate to the way you look at photography. Your work is beautiful! Especially loved the Palm Spring ones
Might be a dumb question . So I get saving the custom film recipes. But are you able to always have the stock “in camera “ film simulations available as well as the 7 custom settings ? Any feedback would be great . Thanks
I’ve had my x100vi for a couple months now and I can say I 100% agree with everything you said. Also having a Sony a7iii and a canon A-1 film camera, this is by far my favorite and I take it with me almost everywhere now. Great video and great photos my guy 👍🏻
Yes, this is cinetone straight out of camera. It has 2 stops of less DR than LOG, tends to lean very saturated. Whoever this is, did some slight color adjustments, not much though.
Just a quick thanks … I set up a couple of these today and they’ve come out amazing. FYI I shoot RAW and JPEG and when l downloaded the RAW to LR they were as shot (the recipes!) Brilliant … just waiting for my filter adapter now … (my only complaint about the x100V!!) Thanks again
I really love the look of your photos - of course the vibe and feel of your photos, but also the exposure and lighting in what look to be fairly challenging conditions to making a photo look as warm and intimate as yours do. For example - harsh midday light. But it's fantastic. For a relative beginner like me, I really appreciate seeing a small caption with photos showing the settings and the simulation. I know I know - focusing on the technical and missing the point? Sort of yes, but I'm still working toward making the really challenging look easy so that I too can get onto making these sorts of photos. Great video. Thanks!
This is stunning! I think I'm going to get an iPhone 15 Pro to go alongside my X100V and use it in the way you have, X100V for photos, iPhone for video. Can I ask how you got your black borders on your photos? They're gorgeous! *Edit: I've just seen the description and they're actual film! Doh
Hey man, really love the video. I've been a profesisonal photographer for almost 10 years now and have got into the habit of lugging my A7iii and Sigma 35mm 1.4 with me everywhere, so decided to get an X100V to replace that. Your video hit the nail on the head 100%, you articulated my feelings perfectly, and your video is just lovely. Thanks bro. Love from the UK.
Never before have I seen a product review that made me so emotional. The way you spoke, expressed, and spoke concisely really touched my emotions and heart. Thank you very much! Ps: I used google translate to write this comment. Hopefully it's not too silly or confusing.
My Sony is more “clinically accurate” for sure… but that… is *not* hobbyist and family photography. My X100V is everything. I’d let the A7 go in a second, even if it has the technical edge, it doesn’t have the ooey-gooey feel I get when shooting JPGs on my Fuji. The fixed 35mm f/2 is the brilliance - creativity and photographic freedom is borne from limitation.
