We are what we believe we are.. If you believe a lie, you can become the lie & or spread the lie. We are all much more than we are led to believe. It really is as simple as that. But how to find out who you are takes Truth, which is both bitter & sweet.
I'd say we are much _less_ than what we've been led to believe. We have a million beliefs about who we are. All we are is present moment non-judgmental awareness, which doesn't require a single thought or belief to be known. It's only bitter or sweet to the judgmental ego thought system...the false self.
