Do I have to dry in a dehydrator? I don’t have one. I discovered this weed in my yard and I didn’t pull because it looked like my catmint and my wild strawberry. And it smells amazing on your hands.
Reasons for trespassing that are cool: Scoping out my house to murder my family ❌️ Stealing some of my yummy mustard that i couldnt possibly eat all of if i tried ✅️✅️✅️✅️ (This incredible plant has SOOOO MUCH vitamin C and vitamin A... more than an orange and more than spinach) its a diuretic tho youll shit yourself if you too much.
I always only take what I need when I'm forging food hunting and fishing. i got a deer this year hoping for one more because 2 deer will feed me and my family all winter, but I'm happy I got one
Love it. A lot of invasive plants origins are from countries where they are controlled because well they are tasty! Great energy, good vibes as well. Keep doing what you are doing!
I've watched this video twice now, thanks for making this dude! I tried the fresh leaves and they do taste just like garlic. It is strong, but I add one leaf to my meals with one mugwort leaf and a ton of lemon balm and cannabis sativa leaves (whenever my plants are in need of a pruning I just eat the leaves) . I use this in place of store bought lettuce. Basically anytime I'm cooking a meal, I'll venture out to my yard and pick a bunch of wild greens, I add them into my meals in place of lettuce or greens depending on what I'm cooking. This is a way cheaper and healthier swap for using lettuce or store bought spinach, etc. in meals. Seriously though thanks so much for making this video, you've given me the inspiration to pull the rest of my garlic mustard up and dry it out. and use all of it just like you did here. Don't worry guys, I won't pull it all out, I'll keep a little patch of it for a continual harvest of fresh leaves,
I have garlic mustard growing all over my yard now I’m pretty upset I pulled most of it out to make space for my veggies. Could have dried it all out! Thank you for making this video it taught me so much !! I will be trying out everything!
Alliaria petiolata is a Brassicacaea. Translation, garlic mustard is in the cabbage family. It contains volatile oils (hence the smell) and it's full of sinigrin (a glucoside). It's an anti inflammatory and can be put on eczema externally to soothe. Best of all, it self sows and can be found on most continents. Nature is freaking awesome.
Dryad's saddle/Pheasant back would be a good addition to this. A common mushroom that grows on trees. They have no close look alikes and are great by themselves or used for a soup/stew.
Be careful when harvesting ramps. This plant is delicate and you need to only pick one or two from big patches, then move on to the next. It's extremely important that we keep them growing and don't kill them off.
Sorry but you made me feel terrible about my current state of being!!! The way you jumped over those homemade exercise bars is outstanding but it just made me realize how out of shape I truly am! I used to play every single sport that was offered at my high school but now that I'm almost 45......wah wah wah!!!! Not so much anymore!!!
He could do a better job of plant identification as he rushes through the proper identification. His recipes are worth watching, but use other videos for learning to properly identify the correct plant, not a look alike that could be toxic.
Garlic mustard is an intense invasive species here in the Midwest, definitely am going to try to make tea with it! And I love spinach so its going to go in my bowl too :)
Love your presentation! Just a thought though about any plant in the brassica family and thyroid disease. It can interfere with iodine uptake. It's best to ingest it 8 hours after taking medication... or so I've read. I am not an M. D. Subscribed
I tried pheasant back once and it was basically like trying to eat a shoe, toughest thing Ive ever chewed. Unless I cooked it wrong which I probably did.
