Hi guys! thank you for many very useful and detailed videos, you are the best! I have a question about this video, the question concerns the calibration protocol. It’s very interesting to know what the data in the protocol means, what it affects, which of them are critical? Clients often ask how accurately do you measure this object? If you manage to write an analysis here, I think it will be useful to many. thanks again
What is about alignments? Are each part has perfect alignment to each other or how they are aligned together? Drag and Drop is fine, but in my case the parts are not ready to measure due to their different coordinates.
I can’t even buy anything from Zeiss or try it out because I don’t own a business. They don’t sell to hobbyists 😂 But the software is probably way too expensive anyway if they don’t list prices….
please have a look to our website www.handsonmetrology.com/sessions/ and scroll down to the getting started videos of ZEISS Reverse Engineeirng software to get more insights.
Hi! Your scanners are great, but it would be even better if the turntable don't start so hard and stop so hard. The entire scanning piece and table is shaking after all that sudden motion. It would be cool if you fix that on next update or give as option acceleration and deceleration of the table. Thanks!
Thank you for the input we will take it with us. But keep in mind to always place you rotation table on a steady table as the shaking is not coming from the rotation table but from the table where the rotation table is put on.
I was surprised to see a video of a reference element that looks very similar to a cuboid that I invented 2 years ago and still use physically every day, which is my own idea.
Yes you can import a point cloud of any other scanner. See our video www.handsonmetrology.com/video/data-import-from-3rd-party-scanners/. Another option is to import the STL data.
Thank you! That is a useful feature in new version of Zeiss Inspect. Does CAD surfacing require an special License apart from professional license already available?
This is all extremely fascinating to me. It seems like just a few years ago people where working on developing 3D printers made for enthusiasts to use at home. Now the industry is doing great things. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and keeping us in the know. Much respect 🙏 🫡.
How much minimum alignment 1prealignment,base fit alignment, geometry alignment, 3point alignment. All alignment is compulsory or after prealignment go to next step report page
You have different possibility. You can do a pre-alignment and then do additional alignment or you set the already existing alignment how the STL was imported and then do additional alignments if needed. We have a lot of options. You can contact us via www.handsonmetrology.com and we can bring in contact with the right persons or via the ZEISS Quality Training Center (training.gom.com/) you can find more training on ZEISS INSPECT or sign up for more training.
Sir, can we automate a single gom file like for example we have a scan data aligned with cad data but after improvement we want to work with same scan data (this tym scanned to see results after corrections)like if we delete the previous scan data and bring a new one scan data of same part ..can we regain all surface defect mapping or surface comparison values which we have generated earlier???? Sir, can you pls share your official contact information i need to talk to u officially??
Yes this is possible with our ZEISS Inspect professional software. Please visit www.handsonmetrology.com/products/software/zeiss-inspect-full-version/ to look at the features and get a trail.
Sir,Pls reply!!! Can we align 2 same scan data (one which is scanned before and one which is scanned after some time)with Nominal data??? pls share your contact info i neeed to talk something officially

I have enjoyed all the videos here, quite informative and useful. I recently updated the GOM Inspect software and now i am unable to start the scan using Logitech R400 Presenter, which was quite handy to start scan and navigating throuh options. Any tips, on how i could fix the issue. Thanks in advance.
@@handsonmetrology6317 It looks like cleaning up the scan data takes a lot of time which makes less productive than tactile scanner. Is there a way to automate the cleaning process of the 3D scans?
You can align the mesh on its own when you do not have CAD data or you can align it towards CAD data when available. Adding alignments is always possible. You are also able to switch between alignments.
Which before drag and drop mesh model or cad model. I am before mesh model drag and drop after cad model drag and drop it is possible for better results please confirm me.
Hey Diederik. Thanks for the videos. Am using the software to measure distances and angles on stl files from a dental laboratory scanner and comparing to physical models but am getting very different results especially for the angles. Any tips on this?
This is one of the examples. You can even measure in smaller areas because of the size of the system and its small stand-off distance. It is a self-referencing system and not a tracked system where you have problems with line of sight or jumping error or accuracy discrepancies between tracker and laserscanner. The T-SCAN hawk 2 deliver detailed and reliable accurate data.
We try our best but will come up with more great content in the future. Is there anything in particular that you want to know about GOM Inspect? Here you can find more videos on our inspection software: www.handsonmetrology.com/sessions/#section-software
Hi, you can create a table report by creating report and choose the standard available report style, table. Here you get a table of all inspection visible in #3D view. By pressing earth symbol on the top you can visualize all inspections. In our training center (training.gom.com) we have a training on GOM Inpect. Please have a look and also try GOM Inspect Pro
