Can't boondock in this. Freezer holds two packs of hotdogs at best. Induction cooktop is one burner. Microwave is not an air fryer. So conclusion this is a picnic van at best .with an outrageous price.
You can't 100% reply on electricity, if that is all you have, you may not cook a meal if something wrong with it. When propane available, you have gas burner, microwave and induction as well.
My new ascent has had an electrical fire, gas leak, and dozens of other problems caused by poor workmanship, wrong materials, poor design, and incompetence. P-way refuses to fix anything and refuses to provide " any " service information needed. The floor has lots of cracks.
This unit needs hot water at the sink and shower head. Install the furnace/water heater combo they use in the Solis 36B Also needs a 2000-3000 watt Inverter, and a second battery to run a TV or a coffee maker without having to use a generator. Love the idea of the swappable Propane tank - Walmarts and grocery stores and Convenience stores are FAR more frequent than a Propane filling station. Also love the idea of a bed that you don't have to set up and take down every night, like the Solis 36B. I'm glad it has a 3500 lb tow rating, can go hit the trails for a weekend towing my Polaris RZR.
I have a new 2024 on the lot. Biggest changes they made for the new year was increasing the lithium batteries and they changed out the mattress to a more comfortable one. some exterior storage rack changes as well but not to different
I like Pleasure Way quality, but they need to stop putting all the ugly cutouts and huge branding on the van body. It ruins the clean look of the van and makes it impossible to stealth camp since it stands out like a sore thumb. They also need to offer an all electric package that eliminates the propane system and Onan generator, and uses the chassis fuel for heat and hot water. A lot of buyers simply don't want the added weight and safety concerns of propane. This would be easily doable since they now offer a 600 amp lithium battery, 3000 watt inverter, 300 watt solar, and they can add a 2nd alternator for fast charging while driving. I also don't like any of the interior color choices. I prefer a darker look and it's a mistake not offering a darker interior option. Also, the chassis needs the upgraded LED lighting. Halogen headlights on an expensive coach like this is inexcusable. These simple changes would make the Ontour one of the best B vans on the market, but as it is currently I would pass.
Would love to read the stats you kindly provided at the beginning of the video but thats was a fail. You've micro mini sized it down to the point where you cant expand if enough before it gets to BLURRY to read. Try again on that please.
I have had a Roadtrek 190 for several years, these new Zions have some really nice upgrades. The 37 gallons of fresh water is awesome, and the 600 amps of battery and the ability to run AC with out worry about generator problems would make me feel much better with my little dog inside while I see local indoor sites. I don't know of anything in this price range and size that has the macerator, great improvement. I only wish the forward facing couch had a high back, sometimes I like to really kick back and relax, that is not a deal breaker, just would be a nice feature, I will be checking out a roadtrek dealer to see how it feels. Good job showing all the stuff.
Really nice but not sure it's enough storage. No under bench storage, hardly any underseat storage and no pizza oven. Does the 2.0 come in a two twin floorplan? Love that it has the Truma AC.
Please, please slow down the camera work. It’s too fast and sometimes jerky and back and forth. It sort of hurts to watch it. How much solar? Size of inverter? Gray, Black and Fresh water tank sizes? How much propane onboard? Is the roof TPO or otherwise? How big is the A/C? Is the underside closed in and are tanks heated? Is the A/C unit also a heat pump? How is unit heated? Does it have an instant hot water heater (like Truma AquaGo)or one of the older ones that hold a few heated gallons? Thanks.
What's with these single burner stove tops? If I'm going to pay 200k, I want something I can cook in and not just a pot of Kraft dinner, lol. At least two burners, please
Huge changes to the batteries and Truma vs. the awful Dometic. My awning is black on my 2021 I noticed it's painted here but that could have changed in prior yrs. Still kinda disappointed that they don't have phone integration with the Spyder touch panels, and no wifi booster on roof yet they give you a TV booster. Hopefully I'm wrong.
My wife and I own this one, 2023. We love it, not sure on this year's model but on ours the front seat swivel which makes for great viewing of the tv. Wish Jayco would make the armrests removable, they get squished against the door when you swivel and it's not needed on that side. Make them pop out, and you could use them on the other side Thanks for sharing
