Thanks for sharing your creative mind with the world! I’m currently interesting in making my own version of reed diffuser, air wick freshener refill, and now foaming hand soap to reduce household expenses. I wonder if I can use fragrance oil instead of essential oil for this recipe? The reason I ask is because I want to use the fragrance oil which I have in hand, rather than spending money buying essential oil. Thanks again. Love from Arkansas. ❤️
Consider using an automatic foam soap dispenser for a more efficient way to create foam. Just mix soap and water, and the foam comes out automatically with a hand wave, eliminating the need to press and avoiding cross-contamination. I’d love to see the blogger try this!
We did not add water this time. If you want your foaming soap less concentrated, you can certainly add water or hydrosol. When adding water or hydrosol, we do recommend that the foaming soap is used up within a few weeks (:
What a cool video! Nice…warehouse? I have some things from different places but im almost set: I have cucumber hydrosol, peppermint hydrosol, and aloe vera gel and on order I have green apple hydrosol and sandalwood hydrosol.
I'm curious if you can answer a question I have. I've been wanting to grow lavender for making essential oil and hydrosol on a small scale so I wanted to get the most productive variety of lavender. I've read that the best yielding ones are hybrids that you have to propagate from plant material but I want to grow from seed. Do you guys know what variety is the highest oil content variety that still can grow true to type from seed? thanks
Good question! We've never started Lavender from seed as it is very difficult to grow. All of our plants are from starters that we have purchased. We don't have a list of which ones are highest yield, but the ones we grow are munstead, royal velvet, folgate, and blue hidcote to name a few (:
We like to work with a less is more approach. You don't need a lot to clean the toilet, and making a smaller batch each time, means you'll have a fresh bottle more frequently.
Great question! Over time the foamers can clog slightly, so we suggest running hot water through the mechanism in-between batches of soap. If it starts to clog before you run out, you can take a toothpick, or something with a small edge and clean gently clean out the opening. Because castile soap is so concentrated, adding a little bit of a carrier oil is a great way to help the soap from being so drying to the skin.
Great question! It can be dependent on the person, but if one is allergic to tree pollen, often times the essential oil won't cause any issues, but there are some great alternatives! Here is the link to a blog we created that has some great ideas, and alternatives! www.aromatics.com/blogs/wellness/using-essential-oils-for-allergies-3-easy-steps
We also have a bundle featuring all of the ingredients in this video. It comes with a 10% bundled discount and you can check it out here: bit.ly/3Iuyl5S
I'm interested and intrigued by the resin. How does that work and is there a learning resource on your channel? I just ordered several things from you and wish I'd known the difference with the 3 types of Frank. I got the Hydrosol and think it's a great and versatile way to use Frank.
Good question! We do have another video we created on how we like to burn the resins (: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F144PCMP5t8.html The Frankincense hydrosol is a favorite of ours as a skin toner after cleansing, or throughout the day when the skin needs a bit of a refresh!
Same for over here where we are. I created a blend that I’ve been using for a long while, but I’m always eager for these - because inevitably I learn something new and valuable. 😊
Hi Karen! This is actually Natalie and I learned how to blend bath salts quite some time back (from y'all), but it's been quite a DAY! I just needed to chill on my couch, watch y'all's beautiful vids & listen to your calming voice. Thanks bunches for all you share with us. ACP and these kinds of lessons are really helping me toward my goal of having my own small skin care business.🌺 Be well!
Ah... Thank you Natalie! Thanks so much for your kind comment. I wish you the best of luck with your business! And thank you for being a part of this community!
Same here! Baobab oil is amazing, as is Karen and Aromatics International! Love this company so, so much. And of course I always enjoy watching Karen’s presentations and learning new recipes. Enjoy! 😊
