I used to have so much fun with these beads! In the Netherlands we call them 'strijkkralen' translates to ironing beads. It does give me an ick watching that big jar with all those colors mixed 😂. My hands are just itching to sort them out. I would love to see you make a seaturtle with those beads. I think that all those textures in their skin and shell will make for a great patern.
I love these beads! ❤️ If I had more time and the space for them, this would 100% be my hobby. But I do like the aquabeads as well... As for future projects, nostalgic video game art is always good. 😂 Maybe a full (Mario?) scene diorama in 3D?
Wow, this process is so good, I never knew you could do this with beads, I’ve got to give this a go, especially as I was trying to think of a new craft to do with my son as he loves crafting. I sympathise with you about shops moving around all of their stock. I hate it when supermarkets do it and I have to then go on a hunt for everything I need, giving up on some things and forgetting others, that’s why online shopping can be easier and more stress free.
I've not been into a Hobbycraft since we moved because we don't have a local one here. We could do with one because I've found that there are things which Hobbycraft won't ship out to you from their website anymore and you have to pick it up from the shop.
My girl's had so much fun with these when they were younger. We used the iron to stick them together to make it more 3d, it takes a bit longer with the iton so experiment. For the pipe we would make a 2nd one leaving out the beads where the vine would go if that makes sense. Enjoy its alot of fun. Diamond art designs would also work well, but be aware of copyright. Love to see you do something gothic/dark inspired with it xxx
We had tons of these! So nostalgic! One of my little brothers was a special needs kid, and when he reached the proper age for these (3+) our parents got these for him to train his ability of precision and fine movements with the fingers, and also concentration. I spent countless hours supervising him (and doing some projects myself because why not, I needed to be there for safety reasons not policing his work, so I did some myself to show him things without ruining his work in progress).
I use a heat gun to dry my pen work because I'm impatient! 😂 I actually bought most of these colours in tube form a few months ago to make my own travel pallete and and save some £££'s 😅🤦
I love cotman watercolours, though you have to be careful that they are dry when you close the lid because the pans are quite loose (unlike Derwent watercolours) and will stick to the lid. It's a good box this month.
I was just thinking, 'oh, that looks like an elephant!' and then you said it! I will check how it will come out. Again not going to take part on the give away, I already have so much
Great video. I have done this with my kids when trying to recreate historic documents for history classes (homeschool) It was really fun and they enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing!
Turtle! 💕🐢 Loving this month's box. I love watercolours so this was nice little addition to the collection.😊 Also, the print is so cute. Can't wait to see what you create for the challenge 🥰
Somehow, I am now glad nobody ever called me cutie patootie. Rootie patootie sounds more like a larger *organ (whispers) than a bottom, but what would I know, I am not native in the language :D
What I think you should do is use all the ideas you listed in the end and sell them on etsy 😂 If you are not doing it, I will. Jokes aside, very informative and interesting video, I was wondering if dish soap would make a difference before / after oven
@@Replicanna-rl6zg haha. Etsy is probably not the best place. But maybe I could do something lol. Hhhhmmmm. Dish soap. Interesting. What do you think it would do?
@@UncleFrogface Clear some areas, maybe not totally white but to have a raindrop effect as salt, but larger? Vinegar might have some interesting resaults too. Sooo intrigued about the matter. Ashes, grass smithered, everything is possible. Though, you just do what you need for the Necronomicon (I knew from the start what you were going to make and can't wait to see it!!)
@@Replicanna-rl6zg I’ve been wanting to make one for SO long. And I’ve been putting it off incase I mess it up. But I’m just going to do it. What’s the worst that could happen? lol take the plunge
Those are some pretty watercolor pencils. I have heard that electric sharpeners aren't that great on colored pencils. They seem to make the lead a little more brittle and easier to breakage. So I have heard. But I can see how it would be beneficial. I have a manual one that is mounted to my desk and I love it. Love the artwork he is a great character.
Polychromos are my favourite coloured pencils. I also like the Albrecht Durer watercolour ones. 😊 I like the Global Finesse blender pen more than the Derwent one (it doesn't stink as much either! 😂).
