can i ask for a bit of information about how the pokemon is decided in the 5th anniversary eggs? as far as i understand the game uses the first two advances to generate a number between 0 and 999, but how are those two advances combined to get that number? my first guess was forming a 32-bit number out of the first halves of the first two advances then taking it modulo 1000 but that doesn't seem to give consistent results with known iron defense bagon seeds. i tried generating bagons with a couple different methods but haven't had any luck.
Shouldn't IV be equal to 2*DV+1 instead of just 2*DV? Pokémon GO uses first formula and Pokémon with 15 in any stat will have 31 in it when transferred to Pokémon HOME.
is there a way for us to stay up to date with development of this project? very interested 😊

Hello ! Thank you so much for you video ! I tried to launch your ROM with my Supercard Micro SD but I get a lot of white screen. I manage to get sending a mystery gift one time only but my cartridge are French. I can't wait for your next video. Do you think using an EZ flash card instead of a Supercard would be better ? Thank you for your work !
just found you and fell in love with your videos, binge-watching everything on your channel rn. now, there's another burning question from my childhood thats in a sort of similar vein: why can't two gen 3 carts in the gba slot of a ds lite communicate wirelessly?
You ever plan to make johto pokemons' game of origin match which gen 3 game they can come from? So dunsparce from frlg, skarmory from rse? You could also set their origins as the stock "obtained in a trade" that pokemon from colosseum and gale of darkness use!
Fantastic video, very informative! I love these kinds of videos, and I'm very glad to be able to have a deeper understanding of how Gen 3's link cables actually function. Great job! Well done, and I can't wait for the next video!
Update: We made progress on the discord and I was able to catch Feebas! Still thinking of starting a new game bc I want a different starter worthy of taking on the battle frontier, ie, a jolly Blaziken. But I got the tool to work. Thank you so much.
I remember when I stumbled on this island BY PURE FUCKING CHANCE!! I was like 10 just surfing the route, nothing really special... all of a sudden I saw a patch of land I didn't go on before and then 10 years later I find out that you have to thus man to figure out if the island is there..... I WASNT EVEN LOOKING!!!
The way you found all of this out :o Then theres me. I couldn't even use the dang tool. I don't have the slightest clue how python works. I kept getting syntax errors. Whatever that means..
I'm working on turning it into a webtool for easier access! A lot of people struggle with it and it needs to become easier. For now, I can help you best on Discord if possible for you. Were you able to install Python and the libraries needed?
@@Goppier Awesome. Python yes, but I don't know what you're referring to when you say "libraries." Do you mean the zip files in the find feebas folder?
I checked for this island everyday as a kid. I admit i thought it worked differently, i didn't have a clue at first what made it appear and the years passed, i heard it was about matching your ID and having other ID pokemon in your BOX (didn't realise it was a team thing) would work, considering this is how the lottery corner drew its tickets i figured it made sense. Annnyways, by chance once i got to go there, literally jumped out my chair when he said he can see it, instantly saved and floated on over. It was so cool to finally be there but its pretty underwhelming how there is nothing really there. My berry was really just a souvenir and the only way people even believed i went - not that many friends cared as this was like 3-5 years after the game released. I kind of wish they did more with the island, let you get another starter or put some national dex pokemon in the grass or at the least give you stacks of the rare berries. Just something to make it worth a bit of the near 0% chance you would see it.
I don't think you realize how important this is. The batteries in those cartridges will die on day, and you sir have the only solution in the world that can migrate those pokemon before everyones cartridges are wiped clean from age. Good work man
All of them have their known generation method and are legal. Some will show up as illegal in pkhex because they haven't been implemented. Only pokemon that aren't 100% known yet and could be illegal are the hadou titans, some Jeremy pokemon and the "stamp" events
I don’t know if you figured this out or not, but plugging the purple connectors of two GBA cables into each other’s middle boxes and plugging the gray ends of the link cables into 2 GBAs brings the pinout back into alignment with the GBC configuration and allows multiplayer functionality with GB/GBC games on GBAs.
