Hmm, today I will fly Airforce One around America to drop off undisclosed packages given to me by an organization named the Anti-Dean Association >clueless
Years ago we were renovating a Labour Hall to turn it into a Kingdom Hall. One of the girls played this on the piano. I heard the tune on Boom Radio Uk recently and played it to Joyce. She didn't know the title but eventually remembered playing it 50 years ago!
Awesome tune! So much originality. Love the string glissandos. A bit of Montovani influence. Never knew the title used Google tune search and found it. I guess my pitch isn't too bad.
Like so many others, this song was in my head for many years but I never knew the title or artist. Was driving, listening to Sirius XM 60's channel when it played. I pulled over, grabbed a napkin and pen from the center console and hoped that that I would finally hear the information that I had waited for many years. I did, wrote down the title and artist and here I am. I was a junior in high school when this song was released and like so many others it brings back some wonderful memories.
Heard this song first when I was about 10 years old. It got some airplay back in the late sixties when it was published. Never knew the name but hummed it for years and nobody knew it. Takes me back. Now I’ve finally found it again on my iPhone by humming the tune as I recalled it using Google. It worked but then I had to find the arrangement I remembered as it was recorded by several artists. I soon found it and here I am. I’m now 66 years old.
My life is complete. This was the last instrumental I have been looking for. After Think What You Want by Somebody, Scotch On The Rocks by Band Of The Black Rock and Groovin' With Mr Bloe by Wind or Me Bloe. Couldn't find it on Napster, Kazaa, Limewire or the Torrents. ..... Class of 75
1968, I was 9 years old and world was so different and this beautiful music was on the radio. It's never left me and I find myself whistling it quite often.
Oh my ! Have been searching for this melody for over 50 years ! Found it ! Was 16 when it came out. Haunting , Beautiful melody - memories of youth - .......tears for a simple time.
I have always loved this beautiful tune ever since I first heard it played on Radio Luxembourg in the late 1960s. There is something about it that stays in the memory.
