Believe me on the question of the show family feud fast money, Steve Harvey said fill in the black Miami_____P and the contestant said, vice and it was number one.
Back in 1974, my father purchased a Ford Consul 3000 GT (as in The Sweeney TV series) in white with green tinted glass. When I was learning to drive a couple of years later, he took me out for a few 'bonus' lessons in it. I managed to perfect the three-point-turn and hill start in that car (almost burning the clutch out). It was a brilliant car and fast. After passing my test, and as my father worked nights, I was allowed to drive it to school _(it was sheer bliss as the journey had previously taken 2 hours and two buses 'one way' - but in a car it was just 30 mins)._ I used to park it in the teachers car park and they hated me for it, as it was the best car there 😂 Great car and great memories.
I remember seeing this short film way way back in black and white! Started my love affair with this motor . Check out the twin exhaust never fitted to production cars , possibly from the mk1 3.0 Capri ? I had a Consul GT 3.0 1972/L reg back in 83 no power steering manual box loved it ,the Wife in the TV ad would have had fun getting that out the garage!
Imagine if you bought 2 at LESS than the 16 grand, because apparently Ford dealers couldn’t sell them. In a garage. In plastic. Quite a return on investment 😂
No wonder he never made it past anything than starring in Miami Vice. He’s old school about black pride. That is a cliche in Hollywood. He has a big ego. He’s not humble at all.
That show inflated both their egos. don Johnson had so so success afterwards. Nash bridges was a life saver. Honestly though.. they were both great on that show and could've kept it going given the right roles. Just didn't really happen.
