Mountain Biking fun with the Sawrey Bikers. Follow us on our adventures around the Lake District, from low-level to mountain ridges. Filmed with GoPro hero 10 & 7 and the occasional use of a DJI air2s Drone we can show you the best of what the Lakes has to offer. Sit back and enjoy!
Broughton woods looks horrible now, I've only been thru once last year and it was still pretty much upright with only sections felled but nowhere near like the mess you negotiated. I was speaking to a guy the other week who told me that the vast majority of the timber harvested is going to the mills for making biomass as there is such huge demand now. Just about everywhere I've ridden recently has got felling going on or been done very recently. As you know when we chatted near Cuckoo Brow Inn I was on my way to follow your route down to Betty fold and you can see from your video to my video that they have clear felled it's not really recogniseable from your video to mine and with all the current rain everywheres just horrendous like colthouse
In the year since I last rode through, it's been decimated. I think in future I'd park near the Hawk and just to access the fire road to the open fell. All the forests are taking a hammering at the moment though.
I'm not going to lie, there were some teething problems. The factory fitted rear cassette wasn't strong enough for the riding that I do so it's been upgraded to an SRAM Eagle. The original one actually sheared in half. Other than that it's mostly ok (currently got a problem with the display unit)
I have a 2021 Cannondale Monterra Neo 3 and the only real issue I've had with it is crap brakes with the SRAM Guide RE's losing the really hard bite I like altho eventually I seem to have got the measure of them now. DOT fluid is not the best even using 5.1 from small sealed new bottles , lots of bleeding combined with fitting a matching 220mm rotor to the rear to keep it more consistent on long descents, thats probably down to me being too heavy on brakes, I've completed nearly 5300 miles on it now most of it Grizedale and Windermere area @mackemjams
@@sawreymountainbikers6470 yeah great to meet you guys too. I'll upload the video probably tomorrow by the time it's processed even with my minimal editing skills it takes hours putting it on RU-vid in 4k as you know ...subscribed
Absolute epic lakes ride….I’ve ridden most of it cos I’m local ish but some of it not so I’ve saved your Strava link to do it another day. Brilliant video…keep it up!!😊👍🏻
You should probably have persevered. Boot/Burnmoor is a bit easier than Miterdale, although it's best avoided in Autumn due to handlebar grabbing bracken on the narrow sections of the track. Nice video.
Nice video, I’ve just started a channel for my emtb rides. What video editing do you use. Also I presume you have a GoPro….. what settings do you use if you don’t mind me asking 😊.
Now then, sorry I missed your question. At present I'm using a Gopro7 Black and the seetings are on 4K 30FPS & POV SuperView. I'll probably be upgrading soon to a GP11 although everyone is saying go for a Dji action cam
hi im thinking of buying this exact bike in same colour from a local store would you recommend it for knarly trails without needing any upgrades? thanks
sorry to be a pest pal. but does your neo 3 have automatic mode installed aswell as emtb mode? and does it come supplied with a bike alarm and anti theft locking device via the app? or do i have to buy the e connect module and pay for a subscription? i cant seem to find much info about it online as bosch dont make things straight forward in their advertising. thanks
@@UnderDog333 Hi, there's no automatic. Modes are Eco, Tour plus, Emtb and turbo There is a locking system via the app but I never use it and you don't have to buy a subscription for it. I only use it to update the system every now and again
Hi, no loop I'm afraid. It was a plain there and back as I was carrying a broken toe. We're heading there in May for a week so this was a bit of a Recce
Looked a good route in an area with very few walkers and great views. Be great if you could share gpx I sort of know most of route just a few bits I’ve not done.
@@gazzas28 You presumed wrongly. I just think it puts cyclists in a bad light when cycling on footpaths, especially when it's on video for all the world to see. BTW, I'm a hiker & a cyclist
