Judging by that bite that was a big bull, you said the kids were swimming there, i wouldn't dream of letting my kids swim in any of our lakes or waterways.
Thanks Peter. It’s great to fish out of. The 80lb has been ideal for me but I agree re. A 55lb. It makes a difference Punching pontoons for Jacks and fishing the faster creeks up north but for the vast majority of fishing, I don’t like to use anything above speed 3 to be quiet anyway… 👌

I thought Tommy was to your mate lol how good is he? My boy is 12, we don’t have a boat but he likes to fishing. So far just bream, pike eel and catfish but may take him to the surf or rocks soon. Keep up great vids mate, love m
So many videos on RU-vid about how to hook fish but not many about how to unhook a human. This is likely to happen to all of us if we fish long enough. Unfortunately I’ve had it happen to me more times than I would like to remember. The worst time being four of the nine barbs from a 7 inch Rapala. The air was blue that night. If you have someone with you it can be much easier to deal with. I always try to take the hook off the lure and use the quick pull out method. It’s a good reminder to carry cutters and a first aid kit with you in the boat.
