What would it take to stuff a downsized DB-605 engine in an AMG-GT3? I think this engine was around 27 liters. A 8-12 liter version, I wonder how it wouls sound. Does Mercedes-Benz-AMG-Daimler have a vehicle other and smaller than a truck that could house that original DB-605? That would be so cool.
The plane flew fast on 87 octanes but what about 150 octanes that the allies used on spits and p51? Germany was plagued by fuel shortages but they don’t want you to know the truth! It could easily be 30% faster because of the high wing loading.
Bf-109 does not like cross wind. As we could see, the pilot did his best to somehow manage without the loss of plane. Even in DCS flight simulator you always takeoff/ land into the wind whenever possible with Bf-109. Any side wind stronger then 2 m/s represents risky business.
Wow, the game looked like trash on PS2, they ruined much of the art direction when porting Perhaps I would've appreciated this game more if I had played it on GC
To see this plane in 1935 must of been, very worrying indeed! With a speed of 340 mph.No one else, was near to it!Thank God,people realised what was happening and got their act together, with the likes of the Spitfire and P51.All these planes are, clever pieces of work.
Some pilots like Gunther Rall didn't like cannon's in the wings, because in a tight g force turn the chain feeding the cannons broke, so jammed, pretty scary in a dogfight. He prefered 2 mg 131 13mm in the nose housing section and 1 mg 151 20mm cannon through the propeller.
dang, considering how old PS2 was I wonder if Capcom could've made a Dreamcast version. I still have the old consoles in my system and those 480p DC games still look damn good.
Yes, because unlike CTRs, flat screen displays require for the output to match the native resolution of the screen 1:1. If it doesn't then it looks I guess a little blurry. That's the only word that comes to mind. Or stretched out.
One of the most underrated fighters of WW2. The BF 109 was a truly amazing little fighter in my opinion, and the G-2 and G-6 were well liked by the aces that flew them. After the G-6, the 109 became an overweight pig and struggled in the interceptor role that it excelled at earlier in the war. Personally, I love the G-6 the most with the G-2 being my next favorite.
Never was underrated. Was a great fighter, every general knew that. the problem was that technologically its design start to become obsolete (wing shape fir example). When war reaches the apex, the BF109 start to become inferior against its counterparts. the 109 was a design of the 1930's, almost a decade when war ends. The G variants was the technology climax for the 109. Nothing more could be done or something really drastic, technologically speaking. And even that, the G was inferior to the Mustangs in speed and endurance. Probably, the K variant could be better. Uh, and the 109 was lighter than the mustang's and the p47's
Erich Hartmann when he served on the western front downed every American aircraft he encountered, while older than most Allied fighters it was holding its own with skilled pilots. No other plane has the amount of kills as the Messerschmitt and also the P-51 was designed by a German immigrant.
+NopNoob MinecraftTV Yes, that was one of the dark sides of the 109. Hans Dobrich and Eric Hartmann (both were aces that flew the 109's exclusively) said the key to taking off in a 109 was to apply full rudder to keep her straight and gradually increase power smoothly. Once you reach 250 mph or so, the controls will come to center, then you can zoom climb, maneuver, etc. The 109 was truly a high speed thoroughbred, and was a handful at low speeds
Initially, its a hard grind. Once you unlock the 30mm gun pods and motorcannon, the G6 becomes a bomber's worst nightmare. Once elite it has a crazy climb rate.... I could go on and on. I really like the G6 and G2. Hate the G10, and skipped the K4 with free XP.
Do they always crab those things sideways on landing to see around the nose or is that just wind correction angle? I've heard the noses on the 109 were hard to see around while taxiing.
Jonathan Castillo Crabbing is done in crosswinds, and it's difficult to see in front of you until the tale comes up on takeoff, and after it goes down on landings, due to the steep "nose high" angle. This is common with most World War II fighters.
This game was only reason i bought a gamecube besides the resident evil remake. Other than that PS2 was 10 times better than the gamecube when it came to games.
PrimeHylian Just being honest :D... It was one of the only few decent games the gamecube had besides the resident evil remake,Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, and Metroid Prime.
MrMatu2t Just because i buy a console for 3 games that i enjoy makes my life pathetic lol. Dude your logic makes no sense, and but i keep forgetting i'm dealing with a nintendrone. Case closed.
Plenty Spitfires, Mustangs shot down by this aircraft....109 has seen more combat than any plane...period. The P-51 designed by German immigrant Edgar Schmued.
Hardly prevents it, look at this game it looks much better on gamecube. Xbox 360 had a lot of games with 2 discs too so they could have done that for gamecube
Outstanding. My dad was a navigator on B-24s and knew to respect these warbirds. Lucky for me and Dad that the Thunderbolts had come along before the 8th raided the motherland.
