Next time keep cranking without pressing the gas. As long as it doesn’t catch something else on fire immediately it will suck the fire/fuel back down the carb. Mine caught the air cleaner spacer on fire and didn’t go out until it was sprayed by fire extinguisher. I lucked out without any damage.
@tony_c_go_crazy Actually it was 27k miles on it now that I looked at the paperwork. And it's the competition edition that I bought at 57k. I had it 1 1/2 years now and I already paid it off. Also that was a good price at the time for that car lol I wonder if it has issues though 🤔 mines was in excellent condition and still has no issues. I also got a 6 year 100k mile warranty though.
