The Chosen hooked me from episode one. My fascination with Mary of Magdala led me to a historical deep dive into her and the history of the Church was a side benefit. As a life-long Lutheran my research has led me to an OCIA program so I may become a member of the Church created by Christ. Liz Tabish has, I'm sure, found favor with St. Mary Magdalene.
I was fortunate to be in the audience last year when the trailer premiered. There are no words I can find to adequately describe that experience. There were hundreds of people hanging on every moment of this film. It is going to be really dynamic and amazing. Noah and Jenna and their team are doing a great job telling this story. This is going to be a " must see" film.
My few criticisms of The Chosen are calling John the Baptist "Creepy John". It makes my blood boil. The one person I would want to meet living or dead. So disrespectful. Other than that, awesome
The human side of him, yes. He hasn’t fully turned yet. This isn’t supposed to be a literal interpretation of the antichrist, just an inspired story that asks the question, “Is anyone beyond the point of redemption?”
Nasser exiled all non-Egyptians, not only Jewish people. Seniors that had lived and worked in Egypt for decades had to leave and could not bring anything with them at all.
"I had never done a character quite like this..." Well John it´s someone like no one hahaha. I´m so glad David played him so well, I liked so much the look in his eyes, it must had been such an amazing character to play I can´t even imagine, how amazing being able to interpret him! How scary too! Idk why but yes hahaha
I loved the portrayal of JTB at his own baptism when he was a baby.. The portrayal of his very loving elderly parents brought tears to my eyes. Showing this in his last moments was gut wrenching. David gave a great performance as JTB.

I must thank David for bringing to life the mysterious John the Baptist in such a way that John became beloved - I see David's JTB now whenever I read the gospels and stare more intently at what is written about him. Thank you, David, you are also beloved as part of the entire cast of The Chosen. 💖💯
I have loved that every cast/crew member talking about the air on set says basically the same thing. The time comes from Dallas down, but I believe everyone is sensing the Holy Spirit and His presence.
There's NO doubt that John the Baptist is so beloved, ESPECIALLY NOW as a result of The Chosen. I have so much gratitude for everything and every one tied into making The Chosen!
With the wonderful mix and blending of different nationalities and Nations and ethnic groups I'm wondering if the chosen has gone out to all of these places in the world and become a wave of the Great Awakening?
Enjoyed this time with David and his experience as The Chosen's John the Baptist. He played an amazing part in a phenomenal project!! Thanks for this peek into his off screen persona. ❤

Elijah's portrayal of this fictional character is exceptional. Elijah I love your penchant for studying world religions. Isn't it amazing that most are on the same track? I hope you choose to study Catholicism. If it wasn't for Mary, the mother of the Christ, I could consider another religion. Particulary in the tradition of Islam which has the influence of Abraham's 1st born son Ishmael.
