www.aladeltalanzarote.com/ Hang Gliding and Paragliding championships in the Canary Islands, Lanzarote.
The evolution of Hang Gliding and Paragliding on the island of Lanzarote began there in 1981, taking hold in 1982. In those years, the few flying on the island, made their first flights inside the island. By the way, in the mountains of Zonzamas and Montaña de Mina, being especially where it was practiced more given the ease and nobility of the area. Very good flight conditions and easy access. However, at this time other areas were considered as dangerous and specifically that of Famara as very difficult to find good conditions to fly it ... I like the Alto very much! I have flown topless gliders since they arrived, but have moved to leisure /pleasure the last few years, flying single surface gliders (Malibu, then Piuma). I can’t really compare it to many other intermediates - I have flown vey few recently. However, I do know that the Alto is both lighter and lighter handling than a Gecko. If you prioritise handling / lightness, but still want a bit og speed and penetration, the Alto must surely be the best choice right now!
@@sveinarnekvamme2575 Thx for the info. 👍 I fly a U2-145 at the moment. Love handling and landing with it, but I really would like just a bit more performance. Doesn't have to be topless. Flew a bautek Kite before and I was totally happy with its performance. So now I am again searching for the "right match". I am not sure if the Alto would have an performance edge to the U2. The Aeros Discus definitely has (tried that). What do you think? Worth changing or better move up to a topless?
Back in the day I flew hanggliders in the U.S. The Carnaries look like a great site with smooth tradewinds uplifted by those spectacular cliffs and mountains with the potential for thermals also with sun heated, rocky terrain. I made a provisioning stop in the Canaries, must be 15 years ago now, on a solo circumnavigation via a 33' sailboat, but didn't notice any hanggliding while I was there. For years after I stopped hanggliding, I had flying dreams occasionally in my sleep. I still get nostalgic when I see the RU-vid videos.
Incredible masterpiece I have been flying for 35 years at least and it never occurred to me that jazz would suit this adventure so well. Congratulations congratulations
Complimenti vivissimi. Continua a farci sognare.
Lo que megusta que si hay buena brisa , ella sube sola , si tanto enpuje , desde que la toma en la mano ella quiere subir, eso me gustó , vi en un video donde una sin control porpoco se lleva aun hombre para la altura, 😃 es muy divertido
They can fly now if they can just learn English so they can speak in America and Brazil & all the great countries I learned it speak English before I learned to fly but I dreamed of flying before I learned English
A clean landing technique is really something we should promote and strive for in our beautiful sport. I see room for improvement and I definitely include myself in there.
Returning from La Graciosa that day Christian has found a rising cloud in the middle of the river on the way back to the start. However the battery ran out before. The landing is from days after.
