Blade grinders don't grind coffee, they just crumble it. What you end up is an extremely inconsistent grind (a.k.a. super fine particles and super big particles) and this contributes to both super bitter and sour cup of coffee. In other words- unbalanced. If you really want to step-up your coffee to the next level, you should invest in a burr grinder. It can be both conical burrs or flat burrs. If you really don't want to spend a lot of money, I would advice you to get a handgrinder that has conical burr set. The pricing would be similar to this one, but the grind quality is incomparable. (the only downside is that you would need to do the manual work of grinding). A few options for affordable handgrinders: Hario mini slim, Timemore C2, Porlex Mini
How would they be walking around towns and cities in Italy on cobblestones etc? Would they support a knee that has gone thru a partial meniscectomy? Thank you!
For anyone else who gets this on their recommended feed for some reason, a few tips: This clock tends to run about 15 minutes fast every year (YMMV because of manufacturing tolerances), make sure you don't throw out the manual because the time setting procedure isn't entirely obvious, but it is fairly easy once you get the hang of it. Or refer to an online PDF. Resetting it is a New Years tradition for me. The radio tuner is digital but with analog tuning, and it has the tendency to lock onto strong signals. Experiment with cord placement for the best signal if you're trying to tune into a weaker station surrounded by strong stations, you may need to carefully tune back and forth before it locks onto the weaker station. If you're thinking about picking one up, I recommend it. Phone alarms might not always trigger because of bugs, whereas this will always work as long as you have mains power or the backup battery isn't dead. The speaker doesn't have bass but it still manages to sound decently warm, very decent for talk-oriented programming. Better sound than an older Sony Dream Machine I have lying around. That one ran slow, which is worse because you wake up late instead of early.
