Greater Montreal's REM was open recently. How was your ride on there? With that, you can commute around Greater Montreal. It looks like Greater Montreal is expanding public transportation.
It was a really good experience. The trains are extremely smooth and quiet. It's less hectic than the metro, it spends more time at the stations, and the trains themselves are much shorter. But it was fully crowed that day since it was the inaugural weekend.
If you could have taken QC A-20 through Perrot Island and Vaudreuil-Dorion, that portion isn't controlled access. Hopefully, there will be future plans for turning that portion into controlled access soon enough, but turning an arterial into controlled access takes a lot of money to do so, but not that much.
