I'd just slap my hands together (that breaks the thought) and immediately calling them by name, I'd say, "let's go!" And they would follow. Your dogs are so cute! I really like those looks!
And for 'yappers,' yours or mine, to 'first acknowledge what they are showing you,' "good thing, now let's go," usually settles that! I am amazed at how much a dog can really understand! More often it's not a lack of understanding on the dogs part, it's "I don't want to." :-) And yes, I find that funny. I'd say that a dog rapidly comes to the age of about a 3 or 4 year old toddler. After that, they just get better skilled in doing what they were built to do. ... If a child never came to a self consciousness (me in the mirror!) by the time they reached 7/8 years of age, we would never be able to catch them! :-)
As for your puppies, I'd sure like to have a pair of them. They are so awesome! I lost my "little man" about a month ago. He was 12 1/2 years old. Had him since he was 8 weeks old. He was 1/2 Shih tzu and 1/2 Yorkie and I think he got the better traits of both. Yours look just like him (Charlie topped out at 15 pounds) but mine had hair, not fur, and was a bit more delicate than yours. The best best to you and yours.
My Ted is a wheaten Cairn exactly like these two beautiful babies. They are a unique breed, so vocal and a joy to have around. Ted is 8 now, still like a puppy and is completely in charge of us and the house
Only a fellow Carin - phile could truly enjoy this foolery. Makes me miss my long passed Cairn, Wallis, who died long before the internet / RU-vid was commonplace..
But dad, how are you able to resist hat little bitty squeal and then that tail going crazy?! I think there might be a little squirrel hiding behind that tree…🌸🐶🐶🌸💕
I was so angry and sad of all the videos, that somehow are available, with dog's being aggressive and within 5 secs end up with a bullet, struggling to death. This was so wholesome to watch, much love.
I've watched mine catch a squirrel and a bluejay that was harassing her right out of the air. I've received letters asking to fight her, but never have. I was told that she can kill anything one and a half times her weight. They are great
