Did you mention the names of the flies you used? What size hooks? Barbed or not? What rod, line and reel are you using. Personally, I'd like to know all that information? Enjoy the videos. FredSG
Yes I do. The only thing I didn’t mention was the hook size or if it is barbed or not. Most of the hooks I use I debard as far as the hook size I don’t know I would have to do some looking on that but will add more of that information in the videos. Thank you for enjoying the videos
Sort of wish you would mention the equipment you are using each time you go fishing. The rod, line, leader and tippet, and fly you are using. I guess I'm OCD and like knowing what other guys are using when fly fishing! Fred
The Brook trout get a good size in this part of the river. Right now with the warm water temps they haven’t been that active and I have seen a lot of little trout swimming in the river
Have you considered making a wading staff? I went with the Korker wading boot because it has the various kinds of add on exterior soles depending on the surface you are walking on. I have a link to "DIY Wading Staff," if you might be interested.
I have looked at wading staffs but the rivers I have been in have been clear and low. In the future depending on what rivers I go to I might think of using on or making one
Good video on this just started researching this because kym illman a pig f1 photographer that also does RU-vid also mentioned they refused service of their product while it was under warranty
@matthewbass8152 they finally replaced the light after a complaint was made to the better business bureau. The new light has been doing great and not having any problems
Nice review on the Orvis bag. Looks like we're getting maybe 15" of snow tonight and tomorrow! Never ends! Maybe a future video to consider - an overview of local rivers, streams, ponds and lakes for fly fishing that you've been on. Or gear you use for wet wading? Have you ever said your first name on any of your videos? Keep the videos coming! Fred (Resolute Tenkara)
Thank you. I have more gear reviews coming up and soon and I will work on getting a video up on some of the waters I frequent. Well as soon as the snow will let me. Lol
Thanks for the review. Can you determine if the tippet holder is removable? And if it can be removed, are you left with an opening where it was located? I just don't see me filling it up with tippet rings. Also, when you make your videos having light coming at the camera from behind you through the window puts you in a sort of a shadow and what your displaying is hard to see. You lose a lot of detail. Really appreciate your videos. Fred
The tippet bar is removable but the housing the bar sits in is not. I currently have 6 tippet spools on it and I carry three spools of just leader material on my fishpond tippet holder. I will have a follow up video coming out this week with the bag all put together and a closer look at everything
I was surprised to see you keep pulling more boxes out of that middle compartment. I'm looking at this pack for non-fly fishing. Does the middle compartment hold 3600 tackle trays? Thanks for the video.
