Some people call yellar root golden seal. That looks like what we call may apple. The yellar root we dig it grows on the creek bank we use it to chew with a sore in the mouth. Got to buy me a book on some of them greens. Y’all be safe. 👌👌👌
I was out sanging and ran into mr rattler I bought me some leggings. That’s some nice root. Biggest I ever found was a 4 prong that came to my waist. The root wasn’t huge though. Y’all be careful hey from north ga.

Great video of bass fishing below the dam. I’ve fished in the lake and upstream at shanklins ferry campground, good bass fishing there wading out in the river. There were ideas about building some platforms along the downstream by the park and down by the bridge but don’t know if those will be completed after the dam is rehabilitated.
I like when you can ‘feel’ the ginseng. You find a place that’s unfamiliar and things look out of place. You see pine trees and sun and nothing looks right. You go around a bend and then another, walk down the hill then back up. You go around another bend and things kind of quieten and the sun isn’t poking through the trees and you can hear water coming from somewhere. Everything has that ancient feel and is starting to look familiar. A tiny black cohosh or two here and there. You walk about 30 yards and now the cohosh is everywhere that the stinging nettle hasn’t already claimed. Then you get that feeling and you wish you had another 2 or 3 sets of eyes because you want to look everywhere because you are more sure about it than you have ever been in your life that there is ginseng close by

Hello there, nice video and rainbow trout! I am trying to go finishing with my dad next week or so. What part of the Clear Fork River is this. We live in Baltimore Maryland. Do you have any suggestions for non catch and release area in WV for the third week in May that’s close to Baltimore. I have written down Clear Fork River, Middle wheeling Creek, Paint Creek, Shavers Fork River and Williams River. For all these locations the regulations on DNR said catch and release apply Nov-May 15. Appreciate any suggestions and advice. Thank you & God Bless!
Yeah Man, Ol Rd Is Really Good Fishing Especially Right Now. Unfortunately, After The Lake Is Pulled Back Up To Summer Pool, It's Alot More DIFFICULT To Get On Fish Due To No Bank Access. But Right Now, You Can Go To The Winter Launch (Spill Way) And Walk A Long Way Around The Banks. Plus Pick Up Some Free Lures Etc. Scattered Along The Exposed Shorelines.
