yes but he won't be making the impact he could be. ideally you want another guy to also be drawing double teams or else robinson could be neutralized. Hopefully he's a dawg regardless cause I kinda like the Cards
Cousins was the best QB available & he got paid because he's good, not because he has a good agent. Teams have won Super Bowls with QB's a lot worst than Kirk Cousins. And you think KC won the Super Bowl because of Isiah Pacheco? Is this a joke? Pacheco is fine but they won the Super Bowl because of this guy named Patrick Mahomes. Last thing, how was Justin Fields failed? He failed himself. His rookie year & beyond he was seen at bars & clubs every weekend. If you're going to be an NFL QB, you can't party on the weekends. I promise you, Tom Brady & Peyton Manning weren't clubbing it when they were drafted.
Kirk cousins is average and has always been average. I stand by that not being a great signing and I stand by it even more after the draft. Although yes teams have won with worse QBs. My thought was you can’t win multiple championships with a qb like Kirk. It’s never been done and likely never will be. And I don’t I don’t know what I was saying about why KC won. Mahomes is the best player ever to me so yeah they won cause of him. Also Justin fields was 100 percent failed. Tim Brady and Peyton manning are not everyone. Cam Newton partied as a rookie and he won an mvp years later. Lamar Jackson went to the strop club a lot he’s doing just fine. The bears gave him no weapons until dj moore last year, and an offensive coordinator who didnt know how to set Justin up for success I see what you mean, but nah Justin was failed. You can definitely find him in my failed QBs video for more of my thoughts on that 💯
With qbs, I think the only qbs who have the tools to succeed early and likely to stay starters beyond their rookie contracts, are Caleb Williams and Bo Nix. That's not to say I think they're the best qbs in the class (though for Caleb he is my favorite in the class, not so much Bo). But where you land matters. And they have the right coaches, support, and offensive system, aswell as locker room for them to succeed in. I don't love where everyone else is going for one reason or another. I worry about FedEx Fields turf for Daniels, and I just think his game is a tad clunky, Drake Maye has no weapons to work with and will have a David Carr like start because of it. Penix is ready now. But will Rust on Atlanta's defense, and Jj is a very good game manager who's going to be asked to be a gunslinger and it won't work, his career will be like Alex Smith where he'll be a bust early, but I think when he's put in an offense more suited for him, he'll much better. I think if Maye succeeds it will be purely on what New England gives him long term, and Maye improves as a decision maker. If Penix can stay game ready when his chance comes he should be solid with good protection. Jj could surprise me and suddenly be way more accurate in his ball placement than he was in college and succeed with his deep threat targets. And I think Daniels is the next most likely to succeed, bc I do like his weapons and ability to run, ehich tends to help young qbs avoid sacks and get yards with their legs whil they can't find them through the air. Jj and Penix should swap spots. Jj with time to sit wouldn't be a bad thing, and that offense is more suited for him. Meanwhile, Minnesota needs Penix's doenfield throws as much as he needs them.
Penix is a who I’m not even thinking about until they figure that situation out. As far as Maye, I like the rookie WRs they picked up so we’ll see how his development goes. Bo nix though man..I hope I’m wrong but it just doesn’t look good. Not many weapons and pretty much no leadership as far as a veteran QB to mentor him. I mean having Zach Wilson as your mentor probably isn’t the most ideal situation
@@Gmanski3 I think you forget how many years Bo has started in college football and in that system. It will feel like trading companies, but not positions. He won't lose a step whatsoever. I think you're a little too caught up in the idea that all rookies need mentors and to sit as if it's all of theirs first timr playing the sport. All players have different nfl readiness, and Bo is a day 1 ready starter for certain. He'll jump right in and be the go to guy instantly similar to Cj Stroud. Now, I'm not saying he'll play like Stroud, as they're very different styles of offense, and Cj's style of offense gives him much more upside as a passer and playmaker. That doesn't mean Bo won't be successful though. Sutton and Franklin provide him with some alright targets, but he will need a speed route runner down the line.
Honestly wouldn’t doubt it. Minshew brought the colts a game or two away from the playoffs last season. So I think he could definitely do something similar, but that division will be tuff…
I made a comment on a Rich Esien video about how the Bills fucked up. It's got nothing but Bills fans screaming at me. Honestly think they're the most delusional fan base of all sports.
I never like to lump groups of people into one, but even as someone who has hated New Englands fan base since I was a literal child. Buffalo has crept up this past season and over taken them as my least favorite fan base and it doesn’t even feel close. I can’t really think of many good experiences I’ve had talking to bills fans and I still can’t get outta my head all the things bills fans were saying about victims of the KC parade shooting. A lot of them are just miserable people so I cherish any of them who are actually nice
You have no clue how close I was to putting him in the video I didn’t think anybody would care if I put a punter 😂😂 Tory Taylor is gonna be a game changer if he ever has to punt
Was gonna put him but I noticed a lot of creators already mention him. I think he’s gonna be an all pro level tackle and the falcons should’ve taken him. Still don’t know why he fell
The guy outta Kansas? Yeah with Montez sweat there, if he earns some snaps on defense this year he could end up racking up some stats with sweat attracting some attention I’ll just have to see how he pans out throughout training camp
If you weant to _prove_ Fields was failed by his team, it's easy: do a split-screen video showing Caleb Williams on one said doing what he's know for in college & Fields doing the Exact Same Thing on the other. This will p.o. all the Bears fans. Because either their team failed Fields or they failed Fields. If Caleb has only the same talent & the same level of it, then does better than Fields, the only difference is that them failing Fields *looks intentional.* Because how can they possibly have assessed these as different-level QBs if they are so good at what they do? (& if one does a split-screen video like I described, everyone _WILL see_ that they are each other's comps).
This might have been one of the most well said takes about that situation I’ve heard all offseason. Like you said if you just did a side by side, it would be night and day the difference in roster and really effort as far as trying to build around Caleb in comparison to building around Justin. I don’t know if Justin will see a lot of action for Pittsburgh this year but since they just declined his 5th year, maybe he gets an opportunity next year. I just wanna see him play on a team that can support him well. Always gonna believe in that dude
@@Gmanski3 Well that's just it: nobody _wants_ to give him a chance. I'm fully convinced that the sabotage of him was intentionally done by Eberflus & Co. It's 100% impossible that Not One Staffer Thought he may be concussed & 100% impossible that they did & said nothing when Fields called out his play-callers. But that split-screen idea is great as an idea towards _trying_ to get his career back on track. Social media influences humans. That's how Matt Canada got chanted out of town. This would be doing something *good* with it. We can't change the past. We can make the Bears look like the fools they are going forward though. ♪ "Make the video...♫ Make the video!!!" ♫ Is my hypnotism working? It's the off-season. If you find the time, please do this.
The Patriots *definitely* killed this draft & this surprises me only because they were the team I thought most likely to trade down for picks & rebuild. Brissett & Zappe may be no one's 1st choices, but they can get you through to where the rebuild gets cooking. Now if another team loses a QB to injury, B & Z will be candidates other teams come looking to the Patriots to trade for. The Titans made some incredible off-season moves, then the Chargers undercut them & drafted Joe Alt & it's as if they were So Stunned they couldn't recover & started drafting not _terribly,_ but not strongly. The Cards nailed it except for maybe one pick. But the most changed teams are likely the Raiders & Pats. With the Raiders, Bowers changes their Entire Offense. Now they can do tons more out of 2-TE sets that can scheme Adams open & getting Wilkins to play aside Crosby will give opposing OC ulcers, hemorrhoids & early heart attacks. A parting thought that would make a great video for how *you* make them: compare this season's (likely) starting QBs to those of just 2 years ago, '22. Wentz, Mariota, Matt Ryan's terrible year as well as Russ', Zach Wilson, Trubisky, Mac Jones (who wasn't bad yet), Cousins (who had ha no _real_ success yet), the carousels in Carolina & on the Rams. Plenty of fodder there for a video.
Mmmm thank you for the video idea I’ve been hitting some road blocks recently 😂 I like that one. Also I feel like the titans are going to have a really good season their moves this offseason have gone under the radar for the most part. Liked their draft a lot. Still iffy on Will Levis but I think he has all the tools and grit necessary to be a really good QB. So if they can put it together I see them being really solid over the next 2-3 season. Same thing for the rest of the AFC South I think they’ve just all done a great job building themselves ip
@@Gmanski3 I'm patient. While Mahomes & now Stroud have shifted the way most people view prospects as successes at QB, I'm aware that humanity didn't evolve past needing time to learn & grow. Just saw two videos today about how the Packers changed & both failed to _say_ it because I don't think they wanted it to be true but it was all 100% due to Jordan Love's progress. Also when something is 'Unknown' like Levis, I don't feel any need to slap any label on him. We saw him for part of 1 season under really bad circumstances in his rookie year. I haven't made up my mind on him at all. I don't live in a city with a team & am not loyal to any franchise. For the $ they make they should almost all be doing better. Psychologically though, all Western societies have a fear of holding authority _FIGURES_ accountable. Since authority figures are all surrogate "Daddies," the franchise comes to gain misplaced loyalty. This is why even in obvious cases like Josh McD against Derek Carr, the fans still express hate of Carr. Players come & go & no one wants "Daddy" to come & go. So even though franchises _have_ come & gone, the fans are mindlessly loyal to them because they tend to stay longer. & so the loyalty also shifts onto the coaches they hire. "Daddy wouldn't hire Bad Coaches now would he?" (Yes this is also why we don't ever hold politicians accountable 🙄). Anyhow I just rediscovered your channel so on to more videos! (But really, if you can, _MAKE_ the one about Fields I suggested. Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease?
Too bad none of the running backs can really be considered steals this year. I think Blake Corum will be a fucking beast though gotta mention him eventually
He was my #3 ranked wr I made a video including him in my last video so I decided to leave him out. IMO he’s actually the biggest steal of the whole draft
@@Gmanski3 Mist Patriots fans will never admit that he was failed. They consider him a bust and it's because he can't play. I see it quite differently , i think a possible top tier QB got thrown into the fire and expected to carry a failing team.
@@Dougie1969 I made a video earlier kinda saying the same thing when he got traded to the jags. I think if Trevor goes down at some point this season, Mac would play well with the weapons they have there
I'm a New England fan I hear all my buddies talk sht about Mac Jones. I thought then and still do, that he's an excellent QB that was thrown under a bus and backed over. AND I hope he makes his way, and makes my team pay for it. Well i sort of hope . Lol
@Dougie1969 I hate the patriots with every fiber of my being, but I won't listen to anyone who blames him,you dont make the pro bowl and then proceed to suck the next 2 years under cycling offensive coordinators and a paper o line with no receivers
@@Dougie1969 Americans refuse to question their Authority Figures. When Bellichick reprimanded Jones *for seeking help outside of Matt Patricia,* he was basically telling Jones "your problems mean nothing to me" & was too stupid to realize that _WAS_ the problem. He was ignoring the issues already. Jones just got worse. However the fan reactions were telling too. Bill also said "Jones is our QB of the future." This made things worse for Jones because despite this seemingly positive statement, it was also a closing of the discussion. Which made things worse. But comments in sections like this by fans were "Jones is the Patriots Future" which had the air of "The Hoodie Hath Spoken." I found that hilarious. Zappe had been _WAY_ better with the same roster up 'til that point & fans who mindlessly accept everything from their authority figures just forgot all that. Even now people think Zappe sucks. I dunno. Could _Brady_ have done any better on that team? It's amazing what people forget, including that receivers unable to gain separation was why he left in the first place.
Luck often would play when he shouldn't have because he didn't want to let down his team. Grigson fired after he started taking shots (but drafted a first round center his last draft.) The new GM ballard immediately set forth drafting multiple lineman in his first draft. Luck had a great line after the season he went out. He just did not want to rehab anymore despite having all the pieces in place. That is how both Brisset and Rivers had such good seasons. Not sure you can peg this all on the team. Luck would take waaaay more hits than he needed to trying to win.
@@Gmanski3 ya thanks I love Sam darnold he got ruined by the jets and now nobody gives him a shot except very bad teams that everyone knows he won’t play well on
LOL yeah there's no way to justify that the cowboys went all in, but I'm just trying to find some positives because I genuinely strongly dislike almost every move we've made recently. Even signing Zeke i'm sure will make no difference sadly. Hopefully I'm wrong
