I've never done this before, but after like 20 minutes of repeating it and my hands hurting as hell I eventually learnt it 💥💥 (time to forget it in like 2 hours)
The only reason I found this video is because I needed to hear the sound of a snare drum at around 450 htz. Just to know if I tightened a FEP sheet to tight or not. 3D printing is ridiculous.
Just out of curiosity, does this apply to all polyrhythms? Like, if I wanted to do a polyrhythm with 5 and 4, would I count to five four times, or does this just apply to seven?
Хотел бы поучится у вас хотя бы один день. Думаю мои навыки выросли бы процентов на 200. У вас в комплекте с музыкальным еще и педагогический талант. Привет из России.
I had this super spicy hot sauce a couple times and the times I drank water it would last longer and give me a headache. But it's sweet your daughter is looking out for you
I already figured this part out using Tommy Igoes DVD so the next question is what is Gladstone? I’ve read Terry Bozzios explanation of it in his website and since You were so clear to condense about 4 months of practice in 1 minute for Moeller I had to ask
The first two snare patterns i thought myself: easy, youve got this. The third pattern though i began to lose confidence but not impossible. The last one though had me humbled and i returned to student mode and have accepted ive some homework to do. To finish: thanks for the lesson and demonstration! Im inspired and excited to start work on the challenge youve set before us. Great stuff my friend, im rewatching now to listen again and then pause after to read the transcription. Thanks again
@@Withcare111 …The “whip” is just the engine that drives the momentum… with a push-pull, I think of it as a super condense “whip” …brought all the way down to your fingers.
@@Thedrummersalmanac push pull is purely a wrist motion where the stick comes up vertical and is brought back down by the fingers for the second stroke . There is no whip and the second stroke ( upstroke ) is not created by raising the hand like with Moeller . Sorry man your lesson is very misleading and factually wrong. They are two different techniques no matter what way “ you view it “
Wonder what you think about the strange new technique El Estepario just invented? It looks awkward and inconvenient. I don't think it is going to catch on or go anywhere.
@@iwasdozer They can be interchangeable… I don’t think of it as open/closed vs push/pull… I look at it as using a different form to achieve the same outcome. it’s just two ways of getting the stick to move through motion versus physicality.. and every drummer I see using those techniques does it a little differently.
@@Thedrummersalmanac you wish I were, you don't need lessons to be an artist , to sing, to be good at sport, to be spiritual, to be a comic , to be an impressionist, to be a rock climber, to be a world leader, to be a marathon runner, it's all inside of you,it's all natural.
@@MrLaydownsally this sounds alien. I really hope you are joking because if you aren’t that’s just sad. How am I supposed to learn music theory, without any additional information? How am I supposed to know the right way to do something? How am I supposed to know what I’m doing wrong?
