Live, Candid and Unscripted conversations with women who work in the trades building, fixing and making things with their own two hands, hosted by Bogi. Women make up less than 10% of trades people, and in some industry the numbers are as low as 2%. This podcast seeks to change that by shining a light on these incredible women. Celebrating them, sharing their struggles as women in incredibly male dominated fields, and increasing their visibility to attract, retain and create space for that number to start to increase. If she can see it she can BE it. And if HE can see it, he can BELIEVE it. Listen, learn, laugh and get to know the women who keep the world running.

Nice interview, but I really feel like I should put in my two cents, that charging your own family for helping them out is really not very nice. I think people in families, and even close friends, should always be willing to help each other, not just treat each other like customers. Not cool.
I hear you…. and in some cases I totally agree. If it’s a hobby, or there’s a regular exchange of value, or it’s not a business. But when it’s one persons business, it’s a different story. When I had my shop I had 8 employees. If I took up their time (or mine) doing work for free during business hours, then the business wasnt working on paying customers cars and then wouldn’t have enough money to pay the employees. My parents wanted to see my business succeed so they were happy to pay. Do I often do stuff on my own for them for free when I can? Absolutely. But parts and materials cost $ and that has to get paid somehow.
Way cool. Turnin' wrenches is an everybody skill. Just got an older Nissan. Nearly every fluid was low. Oil, ATF, Pwr steering. Brake fluid was older than me. That's just neglect! Fathers, teach ALL yer offspring to take care of their sh*t!
Was great talking with you! I’m so glad you have this open forum for women in trades, it’s so important and I’m thankful for the work you have done over the years in this area!
Yeah except for nobody cares if a car is totalled. I'd be super upset if a doctor decided treating my grandma was just not feasible or cost effective. They're completely different things. Doctors save lives.
You’re looking at the differences between her analogy which is fine but she was trying to convey the similarities which does make sense Doctors help solve issues same way a mechanic does.
So proud of your hard work, my beautiful daughter. ❤. I am continually learning more about the potential fearlessness within me by watching you grow. Love you tons!❤
Bernice is an amazing person. I've enjoyed being one of her customers for MANY years but I'd also call her a friend. Always praying for you Bernice! -Jax
I’ve known Kristen for a few years now. “Bad bitch” doesn’t even begin to describe her. Shes the coolest woman I know, an amazing heart, a fun personality, and very mama bear energy across the board. Seeing her journey just this past few years after they moved to Texas has been so much fun. Love her and her awesome family. Proud of you Kristin you always got me in your corner!🤘🏻🤘🏻❤️❤️
Fine job Nerissa, I enjoyed the interview, so cool hearing your stories and path to success. It was always a pleasure working with you especially during the Softail proto builds. Congratulations and keep up the great work.
