Hey, thanks for your comment. Firstly, please make sure that you’re speaking to your parents about what’s happening. It’s very important that they know what’s going on. If they're not familiar with DPDR you can show them this video which will clear things up for them: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ANzyteEPKt8.html Secondly, I know DPDR can be frightening but remember that it's just your body and brain's natural response to stress and anxiety. It's not permanent and it can't hurt you. You can and will recover. Make sure to read through all the info and articles on my website at www.dpmanual.com And if you would like to speak to a medical professional please don't hesitate to do so. I would recommend finding an anxiety specialist if possible as they will likely be more familiar with DPDR 👍

I had DPDR for about 8 months. Here is what worked for me. Get very good at zazen meditation, eat clean, and do whatever you can and reduce drugs in your system (like caffeine or smoking). I exercised (biking and running) at least an hour a day. The most powerful therapy for me is cold water swimming (the fear and pain will be difficult until you get used to it) I did a 25 minute to 40 minutes swim in the North Pacific EVERY DAY. This works because it can reset your parasympathetic nervous system and you heal much faster if you can sleep through the night. I am a much happier person after having DPDR and see my life in a much more positive light. You will get better and I will see you on the other side.

how selfless and caring of you to give all of this knowledge to people who are struggling who were once in our position and really need hope and advice I as well am so much more grateful for life and being in my body after having depersonalization for almost two years didn’t know how good I had it before but now I do realize how much of a gift it is to be alive and it is so beautiful. If you don’t mind could you explain the meditation technique that you do, or is it more of a Google Search type of thing hahaha. Thank you so much you are wise and full of loving energy to have such a helpful heart as well as this channel for devoting their work to helping people recover and changing lives for the better. It’s hard and not very easy to understand DPDR if you’ve never had it but it is only when you go through it you can truly empathize with the people who have it or have gone through it and you can share a bond through that. All love friend glad I saw your comment ❤❤❤

What if my overthinking of negative thought about dpdr is causing it? It feels like when I snap out of autopilot and acknowledge I’m alive and a living human being is when I start to spiral of the thoughts of “why am I here, what am I doing, who am I , how are we all human, I feel uncomfortable in my skin,” “ how are these my parents and how am I me “ how do I fix this 😭

For me I feel like I got it because of obvious reasons like shrooms lol but I also didn’t like the person I was before I feel like depersonalization helps with changing the bad habits and the bad things you don’t like about yourself
@chavithivinayakaganapati
@chavithivinayakaganapati 2 дня назад
it’s weird because psilocybin actually cured my dpdr which is rare i’ve heard a few people have recovered from it using shrooms but i’ve heard it can do far worse more harm than good for most i had already been attending therapy for a year and was in a good mindset environment and around good people i trusted with my life psilocybin just completely cured all of my trauma depression and anxiety and i may sound like a bot nope not a scammer real person that’s exactly what a bot would say but i am so deadass and being so honest right now it changed my life and i’ve seen some crazy stuff on psychedelics but i always came out a better person afterward because i have an insanely immense amount of respect for the intelligent life in the plant which i do believe in the psychedelic realm the motherly spirit and anything that is commonly encountered on them i also surrendered myself to the trip and let it take me where it wants to and refused to fight it and i learned so much and it was very therapeutic and healing i always take moderate to low doses though if i may ask what was the dosage that caused your dpdr? i am sorry for asking if it brings up anything traumatic in genuinely curious for myself and maybe others safety who see this if you would be comfortable sharing your experience the risks and what happened knowledge is a gift to some but too much knowledge can be a curse that’s why they say ignorance is bliss but when it comes to this anyone’s experience is always valid and you never know who or how many it can help even if it is just me asking. sorry that this is very long thank you so much for reading sending much love your way and i am glad to have crossed paths with you in this comment section have a good rest of your day ❤🙏
@chavithivinayakaganapati
@chavithivinayakaganapati 2 дня назад
I also wanted to clarify that psychedelics aren’t the end all to be all and sober research and the integration you do afterward is what really matters and is super important and true enlightenment is gained without a substance but psychedelics can help heal and get over fears that’s what it really did for me and i thought beyond myself and was put in such an introspective headspace it cured so much of my existential problems to see where we come from and be tapped into that realm. I still get random bouts of dpdr occasionally like once a month but it just depends how stressed or anxious i am and it’s normal given what type of situation but very rare the depression and ptsd comes up occasionally as well but i see how much less it affects me and i feel better knowing that i have healed so much even if there is still a bit more left to go even the 5-10% in my journey for recovery i take mental health so seriously now and going through what i have has really opened my eyes up and made me think beyond just the human ego and made me not just identify with whatever i have been told or raised but rather i can craft my own self and be what and who i want to be as i am peacefully in bliss you are so right in your comment i really needed this experience to move on from it and get better as well as the wisdom i have gained from it will all pay off in the end for everyone i am definitely not the same type of person i was before it i am better now older more mature wiser and have my head more relatively on my shoulders now hard times are a true blessing in disguise and it all was and is just a life lesson if there was no bad in the world or in our lives we would know no good and i am extremely grateful for the experience i have had because i am so much stronger now and i am more appreciative to be sane and finally in my body now it’s amazing really and i will never ever take the amazing blessings i have for granted ever again thank you if you or anyone read this have a good one 💖

How can I get over this? Its been almost 2 months. Sometimes it was getting better when I stayed with my gradnma for 2 weeks, but the symptoms got even worse after coming back home. Going outside feels like hell, I feel like Im dying and it gets me suicidal. I tried challenging it but it feels impossible, what can I do?
@Dpmanual
@Dpmanual 3 дня назад
Hi Amy -- Firstly, if you are experiencing any thoughts of self-harm, please do speak to a medical professional as soon as possible. Secondly, I know DPDR can be scary but just remember that it’s a natural reaction to stress and anxiety, and people experience it all the time. The National Institute on Mental Illness estimates that up to 75% of people experience at least one depersonalization / derealization episode in their lives. It's part of your brain's natural defence mechanism and usually it only lasts a few seconds or minutes at a time. It's only when it's focused on as a separate problem (feeling like you're going crazy / in a dream etc) that it can turn into a feedback loop with the anxiety that caused it in the first place. But no matter what caused it or how long you've had it, you can always switch it off completely by stopping that anxious feedback loop. Make sure to carefully read through all the articles and info on my website at www.dpmanual.com and my book The Depersonalization Manual. And if you would like to speak to a medical professional please don't hesitate to do so. I would recommend finding an anxiety specialist if possible as they will likely be more familiar with DPDR 👍

My 12 year old autistic son who also has Tourette's syndrome, is now going through this. Begging to have his body back. I guess life didn't think he had enough on his plate. These videos give me some sort of glimmer, though hope is something I don't so much believe in anymore. It does give me comfort. He is surrounded by love and I know I will never give up on him, but mental health issues are brutal.
