Thank you Father for the sacrifice of my sins that you loved me that much which i don’t deserve thank you my Lord Jesus Christ for that my sins were upon him who had no sin so I can be might righteous with God thank you Lord that we have this forgiveness know through your sons sacrifice of this great unconditional love ❤❤❤🙏🏾it really sad to see what the Father had to go through for our sins and to save us from death eternal but to reconcile us back to himself ❤❤❤
Because the Vast Majority have always Rejected the only Savior made available to them- We as Born Again Christians totally Rejoice by the Spirit of God that Jesus opened the Narrow Gate that we as His Sheep have entereth into His Joy
I’ve seen Michael Card in concert with Out of the Grey. Wow. We were reduced to tears. This will always be my favorite song!! And this video! Before the Chosen ever was thought of.
I love this song. I first heard it back in the 80's and it still touches my heart. Imagine what it would be like to experience what Simeon did. The forfullment of a promise God made to him.
This was from the 1977 version of Jesus of Nazareth. The clip as shown in the video was a pretty highly edited sequence, but all the footage is from that movie.
I'd like to show this video at my church - but because we stream our services via RU-vid, it would be wonderful if you could shoot me a written word of permission, just in case we get red-flagged for copyright infringement. Thanks in advance.
There is no problem from my end - the copywritten materials are with Micaeld Card and the 1977 Jesus of Nazareth movie. I edited the footage, so it is not as it appeared in the original clips, but it is all their footage. I am not sure how that will help in anyway, but by all means, you have my permission to stream away.
Thank you @Entheos for reaffirming the promise that Christ will return and that we can let go of this life knowing His Promise is complete in Jesus. #EternalLifeSoon
Now I have held Him in my hands let thy servant depart in peace. How glad Simeon was. I can relate. I have been listening to this song for some weeks now but today it has a certain meaning to my life. Longing to meet my Messiah who has redeemed me.
I can never hear this song without weeping. To have laid eyes upon him in the flesh and be given the insight of his birth, life, and what he would do for us must have been incredible.
I’m glad you are safe my friend, Someone. Think about you often and pray for you. You must be so busy every moment. Thanks for touching base. You are missed.
I saw Michael 3x within a year’s time back in the 80’s - once with a band, including Scott Roley and John Catchings; second with just John; third by himself doing whatever songs he felt led to do. Obviously I haven’t forgotten. He said he’d write songs to go along with the sermon, and it’s obvious in so many of them - they are like little sermonettes. So much of what passes for Christian music anymore has gotten away from scriptural content and ends up being fluff. Thank you, Mr. Card, for your passion for putting The Word to music! And thank you, God, for gifting Michael with that passion and the strength to share it!
Makes me weep from first time 25 years ago to now.take yourself back to witness simion sitting there for years many children passing him Than this one day the spirit awoke in him this one that passed me is he. The salvation of the world as a baby passed by. To know his life is over knowing the promise God gave him I feel this is such a powerful message ❤️
The video clips were from the 1977 movie series "Jesus of Nazareth". It was clipped and taken out of sequences, and a few of the scenes spliced together
Singing this, in Ripon church, with Michael playing, was perhaps one of the deepest and most beautiful moments I have ever had. That and El Shadai on the same evening. He said "if you know them, join in," and I needed no second bidding. I was in heaven, almost literally. Love this guy to bits.
God I ask you to help the views become 1 million. Like many Christian artists the singer is so underrated but I've seen him in concert and he won't have it any other way.
Look up for our redemption draws near. We will be killed for not worshipping the evil one.Jesus is with us. To live is Christ to die is gain. Don't lose heart brethren..
May it be so that I will be ready to repeat those words "Now that I have held Him in my heart, my life can come to an end, now I can depart in peace! COME LORD JESUS!
Lovely song but the video implies this is at the time of Jesus' circumcision, which is untrue. Jesus was circumcised at 8 days old (Luke 2:21) whereas Jesus was 40 days old when Simeon held Jesus (Leviticus 12) in the temple (Luke 2:22-38)
