It's just a job. Nothing special. Nothing exciting. The players are all the same and their mindset on the ice is all the same. This is peak Toronto hockey. Only down from here. Tampa Bay is a real hockey club and have a roster of growth. Look for Tampa and New Jersey to leap the leafs
Compare all the leafs players to the final 4 teams especially Florida and Rangers. I would go player by player. Brad has lots of work to do to build strong D and bottom 6 forwards.
Shanahan is the one that should have been fired. This team was built under him, He gave a kid who never managed a NHL team before to manage the richest Hockey team in the world. Firing a coach will change nothing. Shanahan and his manager apprentice gave all those players top money with no trade claws... enough said.

He's the wrong coach for this team. The core four are always looking for a tic-tac-toe play and with limited time and space in the playoffs they get overwhelmed. Leafs dont need another coach asking for truculence, they need players who decide that their personal accolades are secondary to winning. Why is it that every year leading up to the playoffs, the leafs usually tank? its because other teams tighten up getting ready for playoff type hockey and the leads do not.
Even though I'm still upset that Keefe isn't the head coach of the Maple Leafs anymore, I'm really excited to see what Craig Berube has in store for the Leafs.
In all honesty leaf fans….. how do you trust your gm when he’s literally done nothing in his career. He’s a great talker but he has nothing behind him at all.
