I think I remember Vettel speaking to Rosberg in German in the cool down room and he said something like "Ich wollte nicht dazwischen kommen" which basically means "I didn't want to get in the way of you guys."
Hamilton is a dirty driver and 2021 was Karma for what he did in 2016 Abu Dhabi GP! He did so much dirty things to Rosberg in this Season. And remember Baku GP where he Break-testet Vettel!

But even if Vettel had passed him, Rosberg would still have won the championship by 2 pts...I don't understand why he didn't just drive it home relatively relaxed in the sandwich here, or am I missing something?

As controversial as the 2021 season finish was, I'm glad it happened. Tuning in to just watch a "Lewis Hamilton is God's gift to F1" and "Mercedes is the best" parade was a chore. The commentary (and FIA in general) was very one sided before that, too. Blowing smoke up Hamilton's tailpipe and siding with him on every infraction he made and penalty he earned, much like how Prost was treated.
Remember seb is not a team player either or Schumacher and remember when vettel just rammed Lewis in Azerbaijan could of killed someone he got a pen but he made lewis car unsafe when he rammed it and after Lewis came in to fix it vettel 10sec pen wasn't enough and he beat lewis.one of the worst bit of driving i ever saw in formula one racing.

simple answer is that he just didn't need to, hamilton needed him to finish 4th or lower to win the title which meant that rosberg was fine with just staying in 2nd rather than try to put a move on hamilton who was obviously very desperate to win the title.
It's just astonishing that on the final closing lap they are waving to the crowd and it looks like they are going very slow. But they are going 150kph+
Hamilton did not want to win that race because it would have meant he would have had more wins than the champion that year. Rosberg was extremely untrustworthy and scared Hamilton would mess it all up and it took him for ever to have the guts to pass.
Lewis didn't even need to do that had his engine never blew up in Malaysia. He did everything up his pocket to win. If it was Alonso, these people in the comment section would risk their lives trying to defend such a tactic. Nico was fortunate Max was still in a slower Red Bull and not the challenger that they'll be in 2018 onwards.

@@SilentT82 Lmao, that was Lewis's prime. Nobody was touching him during that period, no matter how good. He got too overconfident that year and he paid the price, but that loss created the monster from 2017 up to now.
Such a stupid argument, same can be said about 2014 title showdown as well, what if Lewis's car had problem in that race instead of Rosberg's car, Rosberg would have won the title in 2014 itself.

From the telemetry onboard, it looks like he never used tailbraking. If you look at the brake gauge, it goes from 0 to full and viceversa, no in between. Isn't that odd?
Nope, it just from the formula 1, actually they are using trail braking but f1 didnt show it. They're likely just use "on-off" way to display brake inputs, even if the driver only press the brake pedal for only like 10%, the telemetry Will show to us as 100%
