You guys using mono for your shad setups? You could talk a little bit about your setups, why you like 1 setup( rod action/ lenght, line type/size, etc). Your call of course!
I gotta try those hellgrammites. On the New river in Va I’ve always had the best luck with bitsy tubes. Seems like they love bottom feeders like crawdads and big insects. Never had a ton of luck with swim baits smallie fishing on rivers
Do you have a radar? I'm looking at purchasing one of these, but I have both a radar and VHF antenna. Garmin says the 24XD needs to be 3' from both of those, so I'm trying to figure out where to put it.
I’m very new to fishing and not familiar with different baits, and not familiar by names. It would be helpful for newbie’s if you could show us what baits your using and the name of the baits that your showing. Thanks for sharing your videos
New subscriber my kayak is a 10.6 Feelfree first kayak was a Pelican and it was crap my rod and reel setups are a Abu Garcia RevoX and a Shimano DC SLX 150HG main baits for me in mid Tennessee is anything Nikko, Ned rigs whoppers and swimbaits (keitech, strikeking and nikko swmibaits) can't leave out whackyrigs.. I stays very well in 2’ and will also handle 4’ well depending on the swell period. Trolling speed really depends on what we’re after so it can vary between 4-8 knots but 6 is a good all around speed we use often. The TM has both spot lock and I-Pilot GPS.
Nice! Thanks for the feedback. The net is a StowMaster SS67LG by Norseman Outdoors. It’s labeled a kayak net in their saltwater series but has great extension for boat use and folds up to a very convenient size. In fact we have gone with net from the same series on the bay and center console boats as well.
Thanks! We're working hard on giving good, clear explanations that can be beneficial and entertaining for both the casual fisherman and more advanced, which is difficult for sure! Your comment is very encouraging!! 👍
Lately we’ve been up river chasing stripers in the downtown area but there should be weakfish and sheepshead in good numbers, and perhaps an occasional old drum on the nearshore reefs. Reports are showing lots of slot reds feeding along the surf and pushing in the inlets also.
Gentlemen - I’m new to fishing. I love all the cool graphics and informative slides explaining the trip and the type of fish. Very cool. Also, umm I WANT SOME FISH! Make a fish BBQ video and prep. Have fun and thanks for the amazing content ❤️🔥
