I tried your method but no matter how hard I tried I simply could not get the hoses to release so I removed the air cleaner and lifted the hose housing off the air box and boom I was then able to remove the entire unit, place it on a bench where I could get more leverage. I then removed the sensor from between the two hoses, cleaned it, sprayed silicone on the hose ends and easily placed them back in their positions and reinstalled. A hell of a lot less struggle for me with this method.
If I cut the cats of my 2002 Chevy Tahoe z71 will it throw. Code and run like shit or will this work for my Tahoe? Can I just hollow out the converter's and still keep the 02 sensor's in them? Or will I have to put spacers in them?
Man this was incredibly awful to watch the first half of this I had to stop the video and comment then throw a thumbs down and back out because those " uhhs ", " Datz", "dis" . Thanks for the great informative video. I am replacing Temperature Sensor in Corolla 2009 just for preventative maintenance. The new sensor is coming with coper gasket. Could you advise if any sealant (like Permatex anti seize) should be applied to the Sensor's thread. I will appreciate your advice.
How did us men survive b4 RU-vid!? Man I’m over 40 and honestly can’t, for the life of me remember! How did we not go extinct is a mystery to a jack of all trades and masters of none like me 🤷🏻♂️
This is the only video that shows how the o-rings and the backer rings go. Wasn't sure if the backer plastic rings (or whatever they are called) went in or not. Thanks.
2006 dodge Durango hemi v8 5.7 4 wd. Straight piped. Same process? And thanks. I bought it from a no emission state. Need inspection in my state. ( ny).
Great video, I had codes P0118 (ECT Sensor) and P0128 ECT below thermostat regulating temperature. My car only read cold. It also caused my 05 Honda civic not to start after running. I changed the sensor seen in the video and I'm back rolling.
